Reflection on traditional watercolor teaching
With the gradual development of society, classroom teaching is one of our jobs. Reflecting on the past is for the future. So what is a good reflection? The following is my reflection on the traditional teaching of watercolor painting for everyone, hoping to help everyone.
Reflection on the traditional teaching of watercolor painting Watercolor painting is an art form that uses water as the medium to directly express the shape and color on watercolor paper. Watercolor painting has become a unique artistic expression in the contemporary era and has been recognized by the world painting world. Watercolor painting has experienced many vicissitudes, from an unpretentious "sketch" to a big painting recognized by the painting world. Today, with the development of contemporary art in China, watercolor painting exhibitions, special exhibitions, invitation exhibitions and youth art exhibitions appear constantly, which greatly promotes the exchange and development of watercolor painting, promotes the vigorous development of watercolor painting specialty in colleges and universities across the country, and presents a very prosperous scene.
Watercolor painting has diverse themes, diverse forms of expression and distinctive personality style. Whether it is fine realism, bold freehand brushwork or creative abstraction, it can be manipulated freely. However, whether the artistic effect of watercolor painting is regional differences or style factors, realistic style still occupies a dominant position. The author relies too much on the color pictures at hand, and even college students rarely go out to sketch, and rely on the color pictures in their hands to build a car behind closed doors in the classroom. This makes the works of art lack dynamic creativity, truly touching artistry, and even less contemporary. Art is art after all, and it is the sublimation of life. Art comes from the artist's experience and perception of life. Experience the times, feel the rapid development of tools and materials brought by the progress of nature and modern science and technology, and find yourself in the practice of continuous discovery and creation, so as to obtain your own unique artistic characteristics with the characteristics of the times and changeable faces.
The materials and techniques of traditional watercolor painting are nothing more than the use of watercolor pens, watercolor paper and watercolor pigments. Art forms are inseparable from the use of media materials. If you can't master and use media materials skillfully, you can't form the artistic charm and formal language of your works. Water is the main medium of watercolor painting, and colors are all blended with water. Watercolor pigments can achieve a flowing and transparent color effect after being diluted with water, but watercolor pigments can't achieve the thick color effect as oil painting pigments, and the color saturation is not strong enough, which often appears very thin. The color of watercolor works, especially the dark color in the dark part, should not be daubed repeatedly, otherwise it will become dirty, gray and dead. In the process of color matching in watercolor painting, colors should not be blended too many times, otherwise the transparency of colors will be reduced, and it will feel dirty and stuffy. Therefore, it is not easy to get the ideal gray in watercolor painting.
As the carrier of watercolor painting, watercolor paper, whether domestic or imported, can't stand repeated smearing and scrubbing, and can't stay in the sun for a long time, so the paper will turn yellow and brittle. Although the quality of imported paper is better, it can not be stored for a long time, which is the main reason for the discoloration of the original paper after long-term storage. This also affected the collection of watercolor paintings in the auction. Watercolor paper cannot be revised repeatedly, so it is required that the work should be completed as soon as possible. Once it fails, it will lead to re-creation and increase the cost.
Watercolor, as a kind of painting characterized by "water" and "color", should give full play to the charm of water and the transparency of color, which is also a unique charm different from other painting types. The level of watercolor art is not the length of time spent on the picture, nor the number of paintings. Watercolor, whether heavy or elegant, should be a leap and sublimation on a solid foundation. Only by being smart and full of vitality in artistic creation can we achieve a truly high level of watercolor art, and the process of producing a good work is not so simple. There are many factors in artists' artistic creation, all of which deepen their understanding from practice, thus creating ideal works of art with the spirit of the times. The success of works of art should be based on solid life skills, excellent painting skills and profound aesthetic cultivation.
"Seeking change" is in line with the law of painting development. First, we should make a breakthrough in concept and deepen our understanding of life experience. Secondly, it is necessary to have a deep understanding of painting materials and tools and master them skillfully. The display of painting characteristics should have its times. In the process of development, the boundaries between painting species are shrinking, blending and infiltrating, and expanding with the progress of the times and science. Only with innovative ideas and materials can there be innovative works.
Watercolor art is a manifestation of contemporary art, and the involvement of comprehensive material painting is creative and pioneering. Its application is the fusion of traditional painting aesthetics and contemporary art diversity, so the teaching as a comprehensive watercolor material should not only absorb the nourishment of traditional painting forms, but also expand the artistic forms and expression means of watercolor art, so that various media materials can be applied and expressed in watercolor painting. This is the importance of combining and infiltrating traditional painting with comprehensive material painting in teaching practice, and creating artistic forms and expression methods with distinctive artistic personality. With the intervention of comprehensive materials, traditional painting and contemporary art are constantly integrated, and the forms of painting are wider and wider, which is an ideal way to express freedom and individuality, spirit and material. In teaching, through the study and training of basic modeling, color and materials, and then to the analysis and practice of comprehensive materials, we constantly sum up the sublimation of our artistic personality and aesthetics.
The application of comprehensive materials in watercolor painting should emphasize the application of texture and characteristics of different materials, and study the characteristics of different materials and the tension and width of the picture. It is necessary to emphasize the role of materials in painting and the transmission of emotion and vision. It is necessary to understand and perceive the material characteristics and spiritual charm of various materials, so that ordinary materials can glow with infinite vitality. The combination and application of various materials in teaching will give students new vitality through their wisdom and creativity, and enhance their artistic appeal and aesthetic value. The application of comprehensive materials in watercolor painting provides students with unlimited means of expression and development space, and creates freedom and pluralism in the art field. As a teacher who teaches in colleges and universities, I deeply understand the importance of comprehensive material research and teaching in the teaching of artistic language and expression. Teaching is carried out from the aspects of aesthetic concept, expression form, material and media, expression language, etc., so that they can make use of each other and complement each other, create new artistic expressions and forms with new spirit of the times, and express artistic works with thoughtful, emotional and personalized expression language.
Traditional watercolor painting is considered as a small kind of painting, or it is not comprehensive enough, which is determined by the basic language and media of watercolor painting. The width and depth of life are not high enough, and the expression form and artistic character of works of art are not broad enough. However, artistic innovation does not mean denying tradition. We should attach importance to the inheritance of tradition and not rest on our laurels. Do all-round, multi-angle, multi-level and diversified thinking and practice on the ontology language and foreign language of watercolor. Expanding the tools, materials, techniques, forms and methods of watercolor painting, including various academic viewpoints, will certainly promote the progress and development of watercolor painting. From the application of traditional watercolor techniques to the practice of modern comprehensive materials, countless watercolor painters have set an example for us, displayed a colorful artistic world and formed a colorful artistic language. The mechanism effect and the application of various techniques brought by watercolor comprehensive materials have also brought colorful artistic effects and aesthetic language, which has become a new carrier for artists to express their emotions and thoughts.

Reflections on watercolor teaching in preschool education: watercolor teaching is one of the important contents of art teaching in five-year preschool education, and it is also the main subject for students to learn color; Watercolor painting is a simple and convenient tool, which is conducive to popularization. Suitable as a basic color course for fine arts majors, it is a highly technical and skillful subject, which helps to improve students' ability to know, feel and express colors. However, in recent years, influenced by the "high school fever", the quality of students in our school has dropped sharply, and most of them have insufficient understanding of the importance of learning and are very tired of learning. Art is a dispensable subject in students' minds. In addition, students have not attended formal watercolor classes in primary and junior high schools, which leads to their lack of understanding of watercolor painting and poor basic skills in art. There are still quite a few students who think watercolor painting is difficult to learn and are unwilling to take watercolor classes. In addition, teachers' improper teaching methods can't make students interested in learning art, the content is too difficult, the requirements are too high, it is not easy to understand, and even the teachers are too accused, criticized and sarcastic, which leads students to lose confidence in watercolor learning and gradually produce rebellious psychology, which makes watercolor teaching impossible or even stranded. According to the present situation of students, how to do a good job in watercolor teaching? After practical exploration, I summarize my teaching methods as follows:
First, in combination with reality, create a feeling of "easy to learn" for students.
Based on the students' actual acceptance ability, the teaching content of watercolor course is scientifically and reasonably arranged. From shallow to deep, control the difficulty and adjust the rhythm; Starting with understanding the basic knowledge of color and mastering the characteristics of watercolor pigments. By practicing Tu Ping, adding water gradually fades, resulting in mixed colors. Pigments will naturally penetrate when adding more water. Students can understand the transparency and permeability characteristics of watercolor pigments in a relaxed state, and the key to mastering watercolor painting is to grasp time and moisture. Then practice sketching light color, that is, draw a good sketch with pencil or pen drawing according to the law of color change; Finally, the transition to watercolor single-object, multi-object practice, first copying and then sketching, first easy and then difficult, step by step, so that students will not find watercolor difficult to learn, so difficult, can not draw, students can consciously or unconsciously complete better homework independently, not as difficult as expected, enhance their self-confidence, and find it easy to learn painting.
Second, choose exercises to create a feeling of "smooth painting" for students.
In class exercises, several sets of homework exercises with different difficulty and level are designed. Students can choose their own exercises according to their actual acceptance ability, so that they can draw well, and then increase the difficulty of the exercises appropriately, so that students with different foundations and levels can feel comfortable and improve in different degrees. After-class practice is an extension of classroom teaching and an important way to strengthen basic art training. Arrange students to use their spare time to choose materials and refer to children's books or comic books for color copying. After a lot of copying exercises, students have gained a lot, which not only improves watercolor painting performance skills, but also improves students' color perception and color modeling ability, laying a solid artistic foundation for students to engage in preschool education and kindergarten environment design and layout in the future.
Third, stimulate interest and create the feeling of "learning to be happy" for students.
According to the teaching content, do everything possible to create a harmonious classroom atmosphere, stimulate students' interest in art, cultivate students' good mood, inspire students' innovative thinking, encourage students to actively practice, and regard painting as a happy pursuit and spiritual enjoyment. For example, in the lesson of color infiltration, different colors will naturally blend together under the action of water on paper, resulting in wonderful changes, bright colors and endless fun; The teacher only demonstrates the basic drawing methods, steps and key points, and stimulates students' interest through language and picture effects. When students are very interested, they can actively participate in practice, and students will feel successful in practice, but they will also encounter some problems. At this time, teachers encourage students to practice boldly, dare to break through and innovate, and try to experiment and practice with different methods and means. Every student took pains to draw many pictures and time. Finally, choose a few pieces that you are satisfied with, cut them out and paste them on the screen. In the process of cutting and pasting, students are also exploring the artistic forms of pictures, some cut into circles, some cut into flowers, some cut into prisms and so on. , various forms, ever-changing; It can reflect students' happy mood in homework practice. Students' ability is exercised and improved in this pleasant environment.
Fourth, enhance confidence and make students feel "successful"
Students' learning activities are a hard process. Even students with a good foundation will inevitably encounter setbacks in their studies, especially underachievers. They always think that they have no talent for art and can't draw no matter how they learn. If they draw badly, they will feel inferior. Therefore, in the teaching process, students are often encouraged to enhance their confidence, and often say "Try to draw another picture", "You will succeed in the next picture" and "You can certainly do it". In the lesson of watercolor painting technique "Sprinkling salt", Cui Kai had a poor artistic foundation and made two paintings without special effects of sprinkling salt. At this time, he was a little discouraged, so I encouraged him to "try another picture." As a result, the third picture was really successful and scored 95 points. He was very happy and gained a sense of accomplishment. Other students found that the homework was not ideal and redrawn it until they were satisfied. In this way, students have a sense of accomplishment, which increases their motivation and confidence in learning art. "There is no fixed method for painting" and there is no fixed method for teaching. As long as it does not violate the teaching principle, teachers should combine the actual situation of students and teaching, flexibly use teaching methods and educational wit, integrate aesthetic education infiltration and ability training into every teaching link, and let students gradually learn knowledge, practice skills and improve their quality in a subtle way. Lay a solid artistic foundation for students to engage in preschool education and teaching in the future, and train students to become qualified preschool teachers.

The definition of watercolor painting in the classroom teaching design of watercolor painting in primary schools;
Watercolor painting, as its name implies, is a painting with water as the medium and mixed with pigments.
Watercolor is a painting method that mixes transparent pigment with water, referred to as watercolor. Because of its transparent color, one layer of color can cover another layer, which can produce special effects. But too much coloring or covering will make the color dirty and the water will dry quickly. Therefore, watercolor painting is not suitable for large-scale works, but suitable for fresh and bright small paintings such as landscapes.
Watercolor features:
As far as it is concerned, it has two basic characteristics: first, most pictures have a transparent visual experience; The second is the fluidity of water in the process of painting. Therefore, watercolor painting is different from other paintings in appearance and creative techniques.
The transparency of pigment makes watercolor painting produce a clear surface effect, while the fluidity of water will produce a dripping, natural and free and easy interest.
First, the analysis of the current situation of students:
1. The students in watercolor class have not received professional painting training and have almost no concept of watercolor painting.
2. At present, the students in watercolor class are in the initial stage, and their interest in undergraduate course is limited to their strange attitude.
3. Students' ability to understand and use composition, modeling and color is very weak.
4. Students are different in age, learning cycle and ability to accept knowledge and skills.
Therefore, in teaching, we should be flexible according to the actual situation of students.
Second, the teaching objectives:
1. Through learning, students can understand and master the knowledge and skills related to watercolor painting, cultivate students' interests and hobbies in watercolor painting, appreciate watercolor paintings and use watercolor tools to express, convey and communicate what they see, hear, think and feel.
2. Through watercolor study, students' rich imagination and creativity are constantly stimulated, and the innovative spirit and students' unconsciousness are promoted.
Third, the teaching focus:
Through the study and practice of watercolor painting tools, materials, common skills, observation methods and painting procedures, we can master the characteristics of watercolor painting, stimulate students' interest and love in watercolor painting art, and get aesthetic edification and education from it.
Four, teaching difficulties:
Students understand and master the tools and materials, common skills, observation methods and painting process of watercolor painting, and can apply the knowledge and skills they have learned to watercolor painting practice.
Verb (abbreviation of verb) main working methods:
1. Cultivation of interest in watercolor learning.
2. Color theory knowledge learning.
3. Practical training
(1) Visual display through videos, pictures and teacher demonstrations.
(2) Color personality analysis and demonstration.
