Facing the westernization of place names and the conflict with traditional culture, what is your opinion?

When the treasures of Dunhuang appear in the British Museum, when more readers of "The Art of War" and "The Romance of the Three Kingdoms" are foreigners - as Chinese people, should we be happy or sad about this? When our economic strength attracts the attention of the world, but the excellent Chinese culture is lost unconsciously, should we be happy or worried?

There is no doubt that China has undergone earth-shaking changes in various fields after the reform and opening up. The emancipation of the mind has indeed brought about cultural activity and excitement, and the opening of the country has indeed brought about cultural turbulence and rain from all directions. It is in this cultural environment that the contradiction between old and new cultures, the collision of Chinese and Western cultures, the comparison between traditional culture and modern civilization, the preservation of culture and the transformation of culture all emerge actively and inevitably. The eastward advancement of Western lifestyles and social culture has gradually narrowed the distance between Eastern and Western cultures, which is particularly evident among the younger generation. From what we have seen and heard, people born in the late 1980s began to believe in Santa Claus and started celebrating their birthdays in McDonald’s Pizza Hut, but many of them did not know how to hold a writing brush, had never read thread-bound books, and had never seen a long Life Lock has never been to the Eight Immortals Table. They can push the abacus they found from somewhere as a cart. In their memory, they have no impression of these traditional things, so they have no texture and are pale. These things passed down by their ancestors are soaked in the crystallization of thousands of years of civilization of the Chinese nation, and are strange or even incomprehensible to them. As a result, today's young people have begun to ignore or even abandon these domestic cultures. They prefer Western culture. They travel around the world in suits and leather shoes, and speak fluent English, but they are too lazy to spare a day to pay homage to their ancestors.

Traditional culture has declined in China, and its loss has become a painful reality. Although traditional culture is not always good, and there are inevitably some dross, its essence is definitely far greater than the poison. Otherwise, how could the Chinese civilization still shine when several other ancient civilizations have long since broken? But the most lamentable and sad thing is that the culture we ignore is regarded as a treasure by others. When South Korea listed China's traditional festival Dragon Boat Festival as its cultural heritage, domestic public opinion was in an uproar. One of the articles titled "Detraditionalization will hand over cultural heritage to others" wrote: "China has a long history of The 'de-traditionalization' movement of the century has not made China rich and powerful, it has only created a broken generation - a lost generation that is ignorant of traditional culture... Due to our indifference to tradition, our preservation of tradition is far inferior to that of our neighboring countries. We are unwilling to blame others, but we ourselves have given up our cultural heritage to others." From this, I thought of Dunhuang Grottoes, Dunhuang culture, Wang Taoist, Stein and the Manchu government at that time, and Stein's car. When we were transporting the scriptures, books, and statues that belonged to us from Dunhuang to Europe, I felt sad in my heart: Those Dunhuang treasures were not snatched away by others, but by Taoist Wang who was willing to use them for only a few pieces of silver. Things were exchanged. These treasures of Chinese culture were simply and simply lost! There are also classic cultures such as "The Art of War", "The Romance of the Three Kingdoms" and "On Protracted War" that today's young people rarely pay attention to. They have not been absorbed by our people, but have been studied by Japan, South Korea and some European and American countries to manage talents and Resources are used in business wars, and in turn they do business with us. Is this a cultural misfortune or a tragedy for the descendants of China? We don't know.

The cultural level of a nation reflects the economic development level of a country and nation to a certain extent. Real culture is the spiritual food that inspires people's minds and teaches people tirelessly to promote human progress and social development, rather than those scum with unruly behavior that pretends to be noble and even spreads feudal superstitions, laws and disciplines for fame and reputation. A nation does not need bubble culture or false culture. Bubbles and false culture cannot reshape spiritual concepts and build personality quality. More culture is not better, rather lack rather than excess is the moral bottom line that defines culture.

The evolution of culture can only show the lack of real culture. Its poverty has affected the construction of spiritual civilization and restricted the improvement of people's social ethics and professional ethics. There are many connotations of Chinese traditional culture that we will never be able to fully comprehend or understand in our lifetime. Perhaps some of its impurities should be discarded, and perhaps some of its contents cannot yet provide timely intellectual guarantee and support for our economic construction, but we can make use of our strengths and avoid our weaknesses.
