Diaojiaolou, which originated in ancient times, is a kind of residential building widely used in Tujia areas in Hubei, Hunan, Chongqing and Guizhou, with a history of more than 4,000 years. Tujia diaojiao building is mostly made of wood structure, which is built on the mountain, mainly by chiseling stones and paving stones. Divided into upper and lower floors, the upper floor is ventilated, dry and moisture-proof, which is the living room. The lower floor is a pigsty or used for stacking sundries. Earlier, the toast king forbade the natives to cover tiles, only allowed to cover fir bark and thatch, saying that "only horses are allowed, but no tiles are allowed".

It was not until the 13th year of Yongzheng in Qing Dynasty (1735) that tile construction began. Generally, there are four fans, three rooms and one row, three pillars and six riding or five pillars and six riding, with ancestral temples in the middle, which is the core of family sacrifice. Buildings are divided into semi-trailer, semi-trailer, two-handed cart trailer, key trailer, bending ruler trailer, water trailer and crossing gorge and hole trailer. Rich people carve beams and paint buildings, with towering eaves and winding stone steps, which has a poetic feeling of castles in the air.

Amitabha Bridge is the first bridge along the street. The bridge spans a large ditch and is a single arc arch, which is integrated with Shiban Street. From the side, it can only be seen that it is a bridge. There is a stone statue of Amitabha on the wall beside the bridge. The Buddha statue was built in Qing Dynasty, with big eyes and wide nose, charming, exquisite facial features and simple trunk. People often come to worship Buddha, hence the name of the bridge.

At the end of the Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China, a large number of foreign businessmen poured in, and houses in Yang Jiajiang were rented to foreign businessmen as shops. The building is an uphill building with wood structure, which combines Huizhou architecture and Tujia architecture style. Yang Jiaxing was a famous "Daye Salt" in the Republic of China, and even Song Ziwen, then the finance minister, had shares. After the establishment of People's Republic of China (PRC), the old building in Yang Jiaxing became the office of the state-owned Gongtan Grain and Oil Transportation Group.
