The origin of hip-hop culture
Hip-hop music is closely related to singers in West Africa. These people are both singers and poets, and their music can actually be said to be a memoir of hip-hop culture. The traditional culture of African singers later came to the "new world" with slaves. The most important and direct influence brought by the creation of hip-hop music is that the music "Dub" in the style of tooth buyers appeared in the 1960s. Dub musicians like King Tubby (who is considered as the founder of Dub music) separate percussion music because the dancers in the bar are very keen on the intense rhythm of this short pause. Soon, the performers began to rap to the beat. 1967, DJ like Kool Herc immigrated to new york from Jamaica and brought dubbing music to new york. Subsequently, dubbing music gradually evolved into hip-hop music.
Heck was one of the most famous DJs in new york in the early 1970s. He often performs at neighborhood parties. He started using reggae, and then quickly turned to funk, rock music and disco music, because the audience in new york didn't like reggae very much at that time. Herc developed percussion with other DJs, and they used various audio mixing and CD playing technologies. Since then, various hybrid technologies have also developed rapidly. As long as the music plays, the singer will rap with it. This kind of person was first called MC (party host or controller), and later called rapper. At first, rappers mainly introduced themselves or people in the audience with improvisational music and simple quartet accompaniment, usually accompanied by chorus. Later, MC people added complicated lyrics, usually humorous language and sexual content. In the late 1970s, hip-hop music began to become the mainstay of business and art, and spread rapidly throughout the United States. In 1980s and 1990s, hip-hop music gradually became the mainstream of American music (its transition period was considered to have ended in 1992), and it was widely spread around the world, but its popularity was slightly lower.
