Wuhu specialty 1: Wuhu swordfish
Wuhu saury is a unique aquatic product in Wuhu with a very long history. Jiangyin, located on the south bank of the Yangtze River estuary, is a "golden waterway" for fish to swim back. It has hundreds of miles of coastline and considerable fishing capacity. Therefore, the output of saury listed every year ranks first among the counties and cities in the lower reaches of the Yangtze River. Wuhu knife scales are as white as silver, generally about 30 cm long, shaped like a long, narrow and flat knife.
Wuhu specialty 2: Wuhu iron painting
Wuhu iron painting is a traditional handicraft in Wuhu, Anhui Province, with a very long history. Its manufacturing process is very fine. It uses low carbon steel as raw material, iron instead of ink and hammer instead of pen. After drawing, cutting, smashing, burning, waxing and mounting, it is refined into various works of art such as landscapes, figures, flowers, insects, fish, birds and animals. On May 20th, 2006, Wuhu iron painting forging technique was approved by the State Council and included in the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage list.
Wuhu specialty 3: Wuwei salted duck
Wuwei salted duck, also known as Wuwei smoked duck, is a traditional special food in Wuwei County, Anhui Province, which was founded in the Qing Dynasty. Chaohu duck is made of raw materials, with about 30 kinds of traditional Chinese medicines and seasonings, such as star anise, pepper, clove and fennel, which are first smoked and then pickled.
Wuhu specialty 4: Yijiang mutton
Yijiang mutton is one of the famous snacks in Wuhu area, with a history of 100 years. At first, it was an exclusive cooking secret created by three old ladies, and it has been developing continuously for decades, becoming a well-known mutton brand. Delicious in taste and low in price, it is deeply loved by the masses. Its reputation is well known both inside and outside the province, which can be described as a household name.
Wuhu specialty five: red duck
Wuhu Red Duck is not famous, but only Wuhu people and people who have eaten in Wuhu know its delicacy. It's hard to eat red ducks in a serious hotel. It must be from a booth at the door.
After roasting and frying, the duck skin is extremely sweet and crisp, the duck meat is tender and smooth, and the marinade is particularly fresh and sweet. It tastes very comfortable and kind. If you want to take it away, vacuum packaging is recommended.
