What does Japanese Long Ming mean?
Longming is a traditional ritual activity. In this activity, people will display a giant device similar to a dragon in the festival, and simulate the image and dynamics of the dragon by shaking, rotating and roaring, so as to pray for good weather, abundant crops, national prosperity and security. Dragon Ming activities are held all over Japan, among which the Horned Bird Festival in Akita Prefecture and the Dragon Boat Festival in Nagasaki Prefecture are the most famous.
