What are China's traditional aesthetic thoughts?

(1) Confucianism emphasizes three kinds of beauty: "the beauty of neutralization" is the ultimate beauty, which means avoiding extremes and one-sidedness in artistic creation, demanding moderation and achieving appropriateness; "Perfect" is the highest realm of China's traditional aesthetics and the core of Confucian aesthetic thought. "Harmony between man and nature" means comparing and obeying personnel and nature, and comparing things with morality. Porcelain in Song Dynasty is a perfect combination of artistic beauty and technical beauty. Its modeling pursues a simple, quiet and natural artistic conception, with smooth outline, pure color and simple modeling, which coincides with the three beauties emphasized by Confucianism.

Influenced by Taoism, Boshan Furnace appeared in the Han Dynasty. Its modelling originates from the immortal culture of Taoism, so it is mainly based on Fairy Mountain modelling. After burning incense, cover the stove, and smoke rises from the fairy mountain shape on the stove, which reflects the influence of Taoist culture on China traditional utensils in a virtual reality.

(3) Mohist aesthetic thought advocates practical beauty, thinks that real beauty must be related to utilitarianism, and treats beauty with utilitarianism as the standard. Here, the basis of beauty is "practicality", and practicality determines the essence of beauty. Among the bronzes of the Han Dynasty, Changxin Palace Lantern is a very representative bronze product in terms of aesthetics and practicality, modeling and color, rationality and sensibility. Changxin Palace Lantern is both practical and ornamental, which conforms to the practical beauty advocated by Mohism and the beauty of China traditional crafts.
