What are the main taboos of Christianity
One, faith
Christianity believes in God is the sole master of the universe, taboo worship other than God's idols. Gifts to Christians should avoid having idols of other religions or totems worshipped by other peoples on them. Respect the beliefs of Christians and do not swear by God, let alone make fun of God Jesus. Christianity is different due to different denominations and the dogmas of its various sects, so in order to avoid unintentionally damaging feelings, it is important to be clear about some issues. For example, priest and pastor are different names for their clergy in Catholicism and Protestantism, and should not be confused.
Treating marriage
Based on the Garden of Eden account in the Bible, Christianity believes that: first, marriage is sacred because it originates from the Creator Himself; second, marriage should be based on the principle of monogamy, which is demonstrated by God's creation of Eve for Adam. Since marriage is sacred and requires monogamy, Christianity does not advocate divorce. Christian tradition holds that divorce is predicated on one party committing the sin of adultery. Another permissible circumstance for divorce mentioned in the Bible is when one partner leaves voluntarily because of a difference in beliefs.
Three: Not eating blood
The reason for this is that blood symbolizes life and was an important element in the Old Testament sacrificial ritual. Moreover, the New Testament explains the role of blood as the power of salvation that Jesus Christ brought to man by shedding his blood and laying down his life on the cross. Since blood has such an important significance, not eating blood out of remembrance becomes a requirement for Christians in the Bible.
Four: Prohibition of palmistry, fortune-telling, divination, and astrology (astrology)
Because these superstitions, in addition to believing in a mysterious power that intervenes in life apart from God, also have a tendency toward fatalism. Christianity believes that everyone is loved by God and has the right to choose his or her own will, and that God does not impose His will on people, but allows them to choose their own path in life, and that everyone should be responsible for their own actions, which is contrary to such superstitious activities.
The worship of idols other than God is taboo. Gifts to Christians should avoid having idols of other religions or totems worshipped by other peoples on them. To respect the beliefs of Christians, one should not swear by God, let alone make fun of God Jesus.
Fifth, fasting
Christians have the habit of fasting. Christianity requires that the faithful eat only vegetarian dishes and fish every Friday and Christmas Eve, and no other meat. The Catholic Church also has a fasting rule that on Good Friday and the day before Christmas, only one full meal is eaten, and the remaining two meals are only half-full or less. Christians are often expected to pray before their meals, and if they eat with Christians, they are expected to wait until the congregation has finished praying before picking up their utensils.
Six, taboo 13 and Friday
They hate the number "13" and the day "Friday". In the eyes of Christians "13" and "Friday" is an ominous symbol, if the 13th and Friday happen to be the same day, they often close the door, in these times, do not disturb them.
