His works have won many awards in national, provincial and municipal art exhibitions and have been collected by relevant art organizations
Very mainstream
On the morning of March 21, in an office of Beijing's Chongwen District Government, Jin Yuchao, the eldest grandson of Prince Jaifeng, the alcoholic king, was slowly picking up the newspapers and documents. "No one in our family has the surname Aisin Gioro," said the 62-year-old deputy district chief, "It's a bit odd to have that surname when it's so old." He wears wide glasses and drinks tea from a very large green glass flask, surrounded by the traditional furnishings of an institutional office: thermos flasks, newspaper holders, wooden desks and radiators. However, if the reign of the Qing dynasty had remained intact, the furnishings around him might have been more traditional - just hypothetically - in which case he would have been, had he not been a prince, the Emperor himself.
"That can't be assumed." Jin Yu Roach hurriedly said, "We were all born in the old society and grew up in the new China, wearing the red scarf and growing up under the red flag. We all have to move with the times." As a non-party member, he can work five years longer than a C*** member in the position of deputy district governor, which he sees as an opportunity to continue to serve the community. In recent times, he has been actively participating in the "Maintaining the Party's Advancement" program.
This is a good-natured, sincere man who, despite his position as a deputy departmental official, does not feel like a "leader" or a "commander in chief".
On the other hand, he has a strong political consciousness. Words such as "harmonious society", "support the party" and "56 nationalities speaking with one voice" are densely interspersed in every topic he talks about. He also brought up the "Speech at the Yan'an Literary and Artistic Symposium" when expressing his views on Qing dynasty dramas.
Kim Yuk Roach is very happy with his life now. He has his own home, a private car, and daily expenses, all of which he earned "on his own". His two younger brothers and two younger sisters also have their own jobs and are doing quite well. His daughter, just a few years out of college, already has experience working for several well-known foreign companies, including Motorola.
Four of Prince Jaichong's 11 children were boys, including Puyi, the last emperor, and Pu Jie, Pu Cheng and Pu Ren. Puyi has no queen, Pu supply died early at the age of 3, Pu Jie only had two daughters, so Pu Ren family became the only incense of the Prince Conscience family continues to this day. Jin Yuchuan is the eldest son of Pu Ren.
In accordance with the provisions of the Qing emperor abdicated the throne, Aisin Gioro's are used in the Manchu language "gold" meaning to change the surname "gold". However, some imperial descendants such as Yongzheng ninth grandson, such as Qigong, did not follow this provision, such as Qigong's grandfather told him that he absolutely can not be surnamed Jin, because it is "enemy" Yuan Shikai's instructions.
Pu Ren, also known as Jin Youzhi, is 87 years old, completely deaf and still suffering from the grief of his wife's death in February, so his son and nanny thought the old man would not be available for an interview. The "last imperial brother" lives in a bungalow compound in the hutongs of Luoguoxiang, from the outside, the yard seems to have been repaired, but it still looks a little shabby. Neighbors around the introduction, rarely see Pu Ren go out. The old man's life has always been simple, with his bedroom doubling as a study and a living room, filled with flower pots with green plants and a tall, heavy but outdated bookcase.
In this reproduction of the close relatives of the clan, "male" have good achievements. In addition to Jin Yuchuan, Pu Ren's second son Jin Yu works at a university in Beijing as the deputy dean of the School of Environmental and Energy Engineering, and his third son Jin Yulan is a senior language teacher at the first middle school on Heping Street in Chaoyang District, as well as a collector of antiques.
It is very clear that Jin Yuk belongs to the kind of royal descendants who want others to notice as little as possible about their special status, and he refused to be interviewed, after talking about his attitude toward his lineage on the phone, and then reminded that this is just a chat, "I'll sue you if you write." Similar to his attitude, Kim Yoo-Roach, though interviewed, said he is the only representative of the family when facing the outside world, because "the royal family is not the royal family of things that the people are interested in, we are not interested in ourselves."
"Happiness and ordinariness are indistinguishable," he said, "and if you're not ordinariness, you're definitely not happy."
Jin Yuchao's realization came first from his observation of Puyi, who was pardoned and returned to Beijing in the early 1960s, and often went to Pu Ren's home in West Yangwei Hutong to sit down, and when he went back and didn't know his way around, Jin Yuchao sent him home. In Jin Yuchao's impression, "moncler outlet store" is a very strange temper, talk about what is normal, but people feel wrong, the ability to live is also particularly poor.
When he was born in 1943, the family was still living in the Prince Consort's residence on the Shichahai coast, which is now home to the Ministry of Health, the State Administration of Religion and the former residence of Soong Ching Ling. He was thus able to spend his childhood among the water and trees, becoming one of the last children of royal descent to have seen life in the royal residence, and in 2004 his family made a trip to the Religious Affairs Bureau and vaguely found long-lost memories of "a little bit of a shadow in my head -- that river. That river."
For his grandfather, Zai Feng, Kim Yuk Roach also has less vivid memories. Zai Feng successfully defused the suspicion from the Empress Dowager Cixi, Yuan Shikai and other dangerous people, escaped Yu Peilun, Wang Jingwei and other revolutionaries "iron watermelon" bomb, until 1951 before his death. Jin Yu Roach remembers, Zai Feng in his old age, closed-door meditation, is a chubby old man, wearing Chinese-style clothes, comb split hair, very fond of themselves. Pu Ren was 25 years old before he gave birth to this eldest son, so that Zai Feng was overjoyed.
In Pu Ren's recollections, Zai Feng was proficient in Manchu and interested in astronomy, and once took his children to observe a solar eclipse with inked lenses, and then drew a diagram of the process with a workman's brush.
Kim Yuk-Roach said his family was relatively honest and simple, and that anyone from Prince醇王's family was known for their honesty and generosity.
His grandmother's name was Youlan, Guarjia, the daughter of Ronglu, and like her father she was tough, bent on restoring the empire and unhappy with her sparse and placid husband. After the abdication of the throne, once Puyi was bullied by Guangxu Jinfei, Youlan's self-esteem was thwarted, swallowed a large amount of opium, and then walked around the royal residence, saying to Pu Ren: "Your brother is the emperor of the Qing Dynasty, you have to help him to restore the ancestor's business, don't be as untalented as your ama." After saying this, he died.
This is far from the only tragedy of the family, and the cause of everything lies in the family out of two emperors. It was history's choice, says Kim Yoo Roach, and his family was reluctant and incompetent about it. "So there is no need for us to always bring up the royal status." Jin Yuchang said.
Loneliness and clamor
On her ID card, the 45-year-old female painter is named Yuk Ziwei, and on other occasions may be called Aixinjueluo Ziwei, Aixinjueluo Yuk肦 and Ziwei Yuk肦. The name "毓肦" was given to her after she made her living by painting, and according to Qing imperial practice, the character "肦" was accompanied by the character "山", which could be paired with the character "毓", an indication of seniority. Yuk". She tells people that Aisin Gioro Yuk is her official name.
The restoration of her surname has helped her career. "The paintings will sell better," she said on March 22, at a café in the Poly Tower, "People look, 'Aisin Gioro,' and recognize your paintings."
She thinks it was worth some of the trouble it caused. The word "肦" doesn't even come up in "Smart Duplex," and when people called to say they were looking for Yuk Yuk at the beginning of the campaign to promote her new name, Yuk Yuk herself often had trouble responding, "Who are you looking for? It's a wrong number."
Yuk Ziwei is the 4th generation granddaughter of Prince 讠讠宗, the 5th son of the Daoguang Dynasty, i.e. the brother of Prince 醇讠嶂, the 1st Prince 醇讠嶂''s great-grandfather, so she is considered to be a pure-blooded royal family clan. However, if we follow the Qing dynasty's royal succession, her noble status is much lower than that of Jin Yuchuan. Prince alcohol family out of two emperors, was awarded "hereditary reckless", promoted to "Iron Hat King" ranks, that is, according to the original title inherited from generation to generation. Yuk Ziwei's title is according to the generation of inheritance, according to his great-grandfather for the Prince, then the next down for the County King, Baylor, Bei Zi.
Yu Ziwei looks small and delicate, has been "did not meet the right", unmarried, "quite a lot of friends, very few interactions", weekdays alone in the Dongzhimen outside of the apartment building, if not painting, stayed in a daze. For her own painting, she does not make too high praise, just said she is very serious about painting.
Like many prominent members of the Aisin Gioro family, her father, Pu Zuo, was a famous painter who specialized in brushwork court painting. Family learning led her and her five older brothers to become painters. Yuk Ziwei is very proud to have been praised by Mr. Wen Huisha. Last year, she went to Hong Kong to participate in the "World Chinese Painting Exhibition", as one of the eight jury members, "have a place to sit", is also a thing that makes her happy.
Yu Ziwei said, their paintings are "line without market", mostly sold to friends. For a painting can be sold for how much money, she said she was not sure.
"I do not make much money, enough to spend on the line." she said. She said. In his commentary, Wen Huaisha said it was clear from the golden bamboo painted by Yuk Ziwei that she was too lonely. She herself admits that her life is a bit "boring". In her 45 years of life, her most popular days were a few years ago. At that time, she published an article titled "Give some advice to 'Returning Pearl'", protesting that the "Ziwei Gege" in the TV series had the same name as herself and was disturbing her life.
It was then that she introduced the concept of the "Aisin Gioro School" to journalists. She now explains that it was just an off-the-cuff remark. However, she believes that the court paintings done by the royal family are very different from traditional court paintings, because the court painters painted to please the emperor and were humble, while the royal family did not need to please anyone and had a bright and open mind.
She emphasized that "education and genes" made her work and that of the clan painters different.
Some days, Yuk Ziwei buys pigments preserved from the Qing Dynasty at the folk market, whether they are blue, vine, ochre or whatever, and they are especially beautiful to use. This is her only link to a bygone era. 5 older brothers live in Tianjin and don't get to see much of each other. A gathering of painters in Beijing was one of the few times she was able to meet the descendants of the royal family, and she didn't socialize much with them.
Difficult group to generalize
There have been few comprehensive observational records of this particular group. "It's hard to say clearly at the whole level." Yan Chongnian, president of the Beijing Manchurian Society, said. Researchers at this society and at the Institute of Qing History of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences both say there has been little research on the descendants of the royal family and that they have very little information. The Beijing Municipal Commission for Civil Affairs, on the other hand, said the information they have is for the various ethnic minorities in Beijing, and that there are no lists or other information on Manchu imperial descendants.
The former deputy director of the Beijing Municipal People's Committee, who has since retired, has become an "expert" on the subject, working at the Beijing Municipal Museum of Literature and History.
He said he has dealt with most of the descendants of the imperial family in Beijing -- provided they are members of a close clan. At the CPPCC meeting, he shared a room with Pu Ren four times. Impression, "Ren four masters" Pu Ren is a very simple person, Chongwen food market soy sauce tofu cheaper than Dongsi, he went to buy on a bicycle. "Imperial descendants are very peaceful and honest." Zhao Shu said, "This may have something to do with their family upbringing." He also emphasized that this does not include the "scattered clansmen" and ordinary Manchu Eight Banners children. He himself is a Manchu, belonging to the White Banner.
Jin Yuchao's recollections can be compared to this. He remembers his family being poor as a teenager until his brothers went to work and things got better for the family.
Yan Chongnian said the descendants of the imperial family consisted of three parts: the close relatives of the clansmen, who were traditionally descended from the nobility; the direct descendants of the clansmen; and the idle clansmen. He said these people are engaged in what industry, difficult to categorize, and spread all over the country, even if the relevant agencies to visit also has great difficulty.
About the "Aisin Gioro" surname, there is an interesting phenomenon in Zhao Shu's view. "The descendants of the royal family of the main branch seldom crown themselves with the Aisin Gioro clan, and those of the side branch like to be called so, especially in the world of calligraphy and painting." He gave this phenomenon a name, called the "era of utilitarianism". The descendants of the royal family who gave themselves the surname "Aixinjueluo" think that the attitude of some idle clansmen is not appropriate. Yuxi Ziwei read a newspaper report about "Aisin Gioro state Di", she thinks this person is a fake, "dressed like that, at first glance is a liar."
Kim Yuk Roach, like his father, Pu Ren, thought Zhou Di's behavior was inappropriate. "This person is rather strange." He said.
In Shenyang, De Chong, 60, runs the Aisin Gioro De Chong Cultural Merchants, which specializes in traditional cultural artifacts from the Qing dynasty: a wide variety of spice purses, tiger pillows, small flag shoes, gerge outfits, samurai uniforms and badges of the Eight Banners, among other things. In 1992, he founded the In 1992, he founded the "first Manchu material distribution company in China", named after the national totem "Haidongqing". He was also the first to build a turkey farm in the Northeast, breeding Nikolai heavy white-feathered turkeys.
If you call him "De Chong", he will correct you with a loud voice: "I am Aixinjueluo Pu!"
This Manchu man was unknown until the 1970s, when he began to attract local attention after publishing an article titled "Yue Fei is an Ancient Loyalist and a National Hero". Now he has begun to express his views on Manchu affairs, history and culture in the Shenyang media from time to time. He calls Pu Ren "fourth brother" and claims to be a descendant of the imperial family, although evidence of his noble lineage in his family tree can only be seen if he goes back to Nurhachu.
Contrasting several historical stages of the royal descendants or low-profile or high-profile behavior, Yan Chongnian, president of the Beijing Municipal Manchu Association, believes that after the Xinhai Revolution, the descendants of the royal family have changed their surnames, and after the founding of the country for a period of time and emphasize the division of class, so the royal descendants of the "Aisin Gioro" family name is more taboo; and now they have a family as the Pride, just shows the social mentality of tolerance and progress.
In the Manchu language, "surname" is called "hara". The old Beijingers would ask each other "Gui Halla?" when they met for the first time. If they came to the present day, they would find more and more people preferring to answer "Aisin Gioro".
