What is the reality of Yuzuru Hanyu's position in Japan after his reign as Olympic champion? Will he become an ice skating coach after retirement?

Yuzuru Hanyu is likely to become a coach because if he was born in Japan in 1994, I think his chances of starting a figure skating career would be greatly reduced. Many people only know Japan as a big figure skating country, but the resources of figure skating in Japan are mainly concentrated in the western part of the country, and people born in Badminton and living in the eastern part of the country don't participate in figure skating to a great extent. To this day, there is still only one competitor in the men's singles competition at some local tryouts in eastern Japan. Yuzuru participated in one competition as a child, and his junior high school's skating department was just one of his teammates.Born on December 7, 1994, in Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture, Yuzuru Hanyu is a Japanese figure skater in men's singles. In February 2014, at the age of 19, Yuzuru Hanyu became Asia's first men's singles skating champion at the Winter Olympics when he won a gold medal at the Sochi Winter Olympics, and in March he won the World Figure Skating Championships to achieve the Grand Slam of the Olympics, World Championships, and Grand Prix Finals. In 2016, he won the World Grand Prix of Figure Skating Finals, making it four consecutive Grand Prix Finals. In April 2017, he won the World Figure Skating Championships again. In February 2018, he won the PyeongChang Winter Olympics men's singles skating title, becoming the first back-to-back Winter Olympics men's singles title in 66 years for a figure skater.

In addition, Yuzuru Hanyu is the world record holder for the short program at 112.72 points, the free skate at 223.20 points, and the overall score at 330.43 points.

He has broken the world record 18 times and is also the first person to complete the backward outer loop perimeter jump at an ISU-sanctioned international competition.
