What does it mean to have a sedan chair?
Riding in a sedan chair means a high position. In ancient China, people who could travel in a sedan chair were either rich or expensive, so now a sedan chair is used to describe a person who has a prominent position and enjoys special treatment. Sedan chair is a traditional means of transportation, which is used for human transportation. It consists of four bamboo poles or wooden sticks. Two poles support the front end of the sedan chair, and the other two poles support the back end of the sedan chair.
