How to make ceramic tiles in ancient China?

There are two kinds of ancient ceramic tiles: one is glazed tile, which is used to build palaces, temples, official houses, memorial archways and other buildings, and the other is gutter brick, which is used by ordinary people's houses.

These two kinds of tiles are made by demoulding process. The raw materials of glazed tiles are exquisite, and sand is added to the mud. Trench tiles are made only of earth.

The two kinds of tiles are made into mud embryo, dried in the shade and then fired (painted with colored glaze on the convex surface of the tile before firing), and the firing method is slightly different.

Strictly speaking, glazed tiles already belong to "pottery", while gutter tiles can only be regarded as "earthenware", which is not as durable and beautiful as glazed tiles.

Of course, it's just a simple answer, with too many details and tricks.
