The Three Gorges of the Yangtze River starts from Nanjinguan, Yichang City, Hubei Province in the east and reaches Bai Di, fengjie county, Chongqing City in the west. It consists of Xiling Gorge, Wuxia Gorge and Qutang Gorge, with a total length of193km. It is the essence of the Yangtze River scenery and the treasure of China landscape. Xiling Gorge

The scenic Xiling Gorge starts from Xiangxi estuary in Zigui County in the west and ends at Nanjinguan in Yichang City in the east, with a total length of 76 kilometers. It is the longest canyon in the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River. Because it is located in the west of "Chuxisai" and Yiling (ancient name of Yichang), it is called Xiling Gorge. Xiling Gorge is famous for its "danger" and "strangeness".

There are "three beaches" in Xiling Gorge-Xietan, Qingtan, Kong Ling Beach and "Four Gorges"-Deng Yingxia, Huangniu Gorge, Niuganmafei Gorge and Baojian Gorge. Although some landscapes no longer exist because of the construction of the dam, the beautiful scenery of the Three Gorges remains the same.

There is a gorge in Xiling Gorge, a beach in the beach, a big beach with a small beach, and the beach is full of water. Since ancient times, the boatmen of the Three Gorges have been fighting against rapids here for generations. "The banks of Xiling Gorge are full of ghosts and sorrows." Nanjinguan

We are now at Nanjinguan, the starting point of the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River and the dividing line between the middle and upper reaches of the Yangtze River. There is the famous Xiling Gorge scenic spot, which is a national-level scenic spot and a provincial-level tourist resort. The main attractions are Leizu Temple, Shubihua Village, Baimadong, Sanyou Cave, Xialaoxi, Longquan Cave, Xianrenxi and Wuzhou Leisure Park. Dengyingxia

After Nanjinguan, we arrived at Deng Ying Canyon.

Deng Yingxia, also known as Yue Mingxia, is not long, but the scenery is extraordinary, which can be described as "no peaks and no cliffs, and water flies like a spring". The gorge wall is beautiful and pure, carefully polished. Against the clear sky, like an ink painting, the cliff wall is reflected in the river, and the static shadow is clear. The river rustles, adding to the beauty. If you spend the night here, the moon hangs on the western hills, and the "clear boundary" formed by mountains and water in the moonlight is indescribable. The so-called "Yueming Gorge Valley" is named after it. Deng Yingxia is in a shooting shape, and there are four strange stones on the Moye Mountain on the left (south bank) of the ship, which is similar to the vivid image of four Tang Priests and apprentices in The Journey to the West who are happy to return from the Western Heaven: holding a canopy in both hands. A pig with a belly and three steps; A sand monk with heavy shoulders and tight steps; The Tang Priest, riding safely and crossing his hands slowly, is lifelike, lifelike and wonderful. Whenever the sun sets at night, he looks out from the gorge, which is very similar to the characters in the shadow play (called "Lantern Shadow Play" by the locals), hence the name "Lantern Shadow Gorge".

Huangniuxia

Shortly after sailing west, looking south, you can see a row of steep stone walls in the colorful clouds. Under the cliff, nine green ridges are winding and drooping, just like Kowloon rushing across the river, which is very majestic. The exposed stone wall is Huangniuyan, and the valley under the rock is Huangniuxia.

We can see that the rocks here are dotted with serrated teeth. In the meantime, the river is like a zigzag ileum, the water is like boiling water, and the water is dangerous, so it is named Huangniutan. The old song says, "Three times is too late, three times is too late." This reflects the difficulty of getting water by wooden boats in the past, because this river is not only swift.

The origin of yellow cattle runs through the myth of Yu Xia's water control. It is said that Yu Xia, the Jade Emperor, came to earth to control the flood and sent immortals to help him. When he led the people to dig the present Huangniu Gorge, the gods came to help. One day, just before dawn, a peasant woman sent tea and rice to the civilian worker in charge of water. When she came to the river, she suddenly saw a huge and gorgeous ox, surrounded by the brilliance of the sun.

Xiangxi kuangu

Due to the impoundment of the dam, the water surfaces of the famous Xiangxi River and Jiuwanxi River are three to four times wider than before impoundment, and the Baojian Gorge and Niuganmafei Gorge have been submerged by the river and sank to the bottom of the river forever. Niu Gan Ma Feixia has been rescued by the cultural relics department and has now been sent to Fenghuang Mountain Cultural Relics Protection Area in Zigui County. After the restoration, it will be open to tourists at the end of this year. With the rising water level of the Yangtze River, tourists from both sides of the Xiajiang River come to watch the "Gorge Out of Pinghu" in an endless stream.

This is the wide valley in western Hunan. We can see that mountains are continuous, ravines are criss-crossed, buildings are layered, and citrus reticulata is a forest. At the eastern end of the wide valley and the north bank of the Yangtze River, you can see a small stream, which the locals call "Xiangxi". Here, there have been two famous figures in history: one is Qu Yuan, a great patriotic poet, and the other is Wang Zhaojun of the Han Dynasty. It is said that one day, Zhaojun was by the stream. Since then, the stream has been crystal clear and fragrant, and people call it Xiangxi. The local people say that the stream is not only sweet and delicious, but also has the function of beauty beauty! You can try if you don't believe me. Look, the statue next to Xiangxi is Wang Zhaojun. Her hometown is Baobing Village, Xingshan County, in the upper reaches of Xiangxi River. You can feel the difference between the air where beautiful women live and ours. In recent years, her former residence has been restored there, and a white marble statue of Zhaojun from Inner Mongolia stands outside the house, which means "Zhaojun has a long history and Hu Han and his relatives know the heights".

Wu Gorge

At Xiangxikou, the canyon section of Xiling Gorge is completed. The ship passed through a wide valley with gentle mountains and rivers and bright water, and then entered Wuxia. Wuxia, named after Wushan, starts from Guandukou, Badong County, Hubei Province in the east and reaches Daning Estuary in the east of Wushan County, Chongqing in the west. It is the only canyon in the Three Gorges that spans two provinces and cities. Wuxia Gorge is 45 kilometers long, and it is also the most complete of the three canyons, so people also call it Wuxia Gorge.

We can see that the Wuxia Gorge is long and deep, winding, with continuous peaks and clouds. Ships sail in the gorge, and sometimes the mountains appear, "there is no doubt about the mountains and rivers"; Sometimes, it is more appropriate to compare martial arts to winding landscape galleries.

badong shennong stream

After Badong County, there is a tributary, Shennong River, to the north of the river. In recent years, drifting in Shennong River has attracted more and more Chinese and foreign tourists. Shennong River originates from the vast green hills of Shennongjia, with clear streams and steep peaks on both sides. There are also three Gorges on the river section that has been developed for tourists to drift, namely Mianzhu Gorge, Parrot Gorge and Longchang Gorge, so it is also called "Shennong Three Gorges". It is different from the Great Three Gorges on the Yangtze River and the Small Three Gorges on the Daning River. Tourists disembark from Badong County and head north. After a journey of about 50 kilometers, they arrived at Yeziba, the starting point of Shennong River rafting. Sitting in a boat shaped like a pea horn, drifting leisurely on the clear water quilt and drifting through Mianzhu Gorge, Parrot Gorge and Longchang Gorge in turn will make you feel a primitive wild interest. There is not even a small motorboat on Shennong River. It's just that there are a few birdsongs occasionally, and a few long trumpets occasionally, which makes people feel far away from the world. This is hard to find outside Shennongxi. After leaving Shennongxi, they returned to the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River.

Twelve peaks in Wushan

As we all know, Wuxia is famous for its deep beauty, among which the twelve peaks of Wushan arranged on both sides of the river are the most. When the ship passes through Wuxia Gorge, passengers can't help looking out from the column and enjoying the famous Twelve Peaks of Wushan with great interest. These twelve peaks are all made of limestone, about kilometers higher than the river, and stand on the north and south sides of the canyon river. Some are like a phoenix spreading its wings, some are like painting a screen, and some are like gathering immortals.

The six peaks in Jiangbei are connected together, and the first thing you see is Jixian Peak (namely Scissors Peak) on the north shore. On the rock wall below it, you can vaguely see six big characters: "Mountains overlap each other in Wuxia". There are some small characters beside it, because the rocks are weathered and can't be distinguished. It is said that it is called "Kongming Monument" because of Zhuge Liang's "Longzhong Dui". With the construction of the Three Gorges Project, it is located in.

Of the six peaks on the south bank, only Feng Fei, Cuiping and He Ju can be seen on the boat, while Jingtan, Yun Qi and Denggao must be traced back to Qingshixi/kloc-0.5 km away from the tributary of the Yangtze River. Therefore, Lu You, a poet in the Song Dynasty, wrote the poem "See Jiu Feng at Twelve Wushan Mountains".

Please look up. There stands a mountain peak among the mountains. There is a humanoid stone pillar beside the mountain peak, which looks like a graceful girl looking down at the Yangtze River affectionately. That is the highest and most beautiful goddess peak among the twelve peaks. Before the ship reached the summit, looking up at the summit, you can see an abrupt stone pillar, which looks like a vigorous girl, hence the name "goddess peak". As for goddess peak, ancient literature once imagined that there was a "cloud moving in the morning" in Wushan.

According to legend, in ancient times, Yao Ji, the youngest daughter of the Queen Mother of the West, came to Wushan and saw a group of evil Long Zaitian fighting in the air, harassing the people. She stopped and killed the dragon to kill people. Later, she sent someone to help Dayu dig the Three Gorges and dredge the river, and stayed to guide the ship. Finally, she became goddess peak. She looked down at the river day and night, the first one ushered in the sunrise and the last one watched the sunset.

⊙ Daning River Little Three Gorges

Dear friends, we are now in the Little Three Gorges of Daning River. Daning River originates in Zhong Nanshan, Pingli County, Shaanxi Province, flows through the rugged rocks in Wuxi County and Wushan County, Chongqing, and joins the Yangtze River on the east side of Wushan County. There are also three Gorges on Daning River: Longmen Gorge, Eighth Five-Year Gorge and Cuidi Gorge, which are called "Little Three Gorges". It is more beautiful than the Three Gorges, so there is a saying that "the Three Gorges is the best in the world, and the Ninghe landscape is the best in the world"

Now we have entered the Longmen Gorge, the first gorge of the Three Gorges. The mountains on both sides of Longmen Gorge confront each other. The current here is very fast, and water vortices emerge, like commas and periods, around our ship. This is the famous "Yinwotan". In the past, many passenger ships and cargo ships sank here because of the surge of water, and countless gold, silver and jewels sank here, hence the name.

Look, there are two big black holes on the hillside ahead. What do you think the terrain of this mountain looks like? By the way, it's like a pair of panda eyes overlooking the Daning River. This is the panda cave.

This is turtle beach. We can see a tortoise-shaped stone relief on the stone wall, which means that we have entered the Eighth Five-Year Gorge, the second gorge of the Three Gorges. The Eighth Five-Year Gorge is 10 km long, with towering peaks and faint flowing water, and stalactites are shaped like people, things and animals. qutang gorge

After crossing Wuxia, the boat sailed about 25 kilometers, crossed Guanggu (Daning River Guanggu) and arrived at Qutang Gorge, which is famous for its "male". Qutang Gorge starts from Daxi Town in the east and reaches Baidicheng in the west. Although only 8 kilometers long, it is the shortest canyon in the Three Gorges, but it has the majestic momentum of "controlling Bashu in the west and pressing mountains in the east", which is a magical natural picture scroll and cultural and artistic corridor.

Fengxiangxia

Entering Qutang Gorge, you can see three big white characters "Fengxiangxia" on the cliff in Jiangbei, which is Fengxiangxia. Fengxiangxia is a steep cliff with several gaps. From a distance, there is a big gap, and there are a bunch of rectangular wooden boxes that look like bellows, so they are called Fengboxia. Look at the cliffs in the south of the Yangtze River. There is a two-story terrace with rocks on it, and the Phoenix Drinking Spring is here. Here is a huge and prominent stalactite column, about 20 meters long and 6 meters in diameter, which hangs down from the rock into the spring water, just like a phoenix at the water's edge, with its peak tilted and its neck craned to drink the spring water!

In the upper reaches of Phoenix Spring, there is the famous Meng Liang ladder, a row of square caves larger than the bowl mouth, one after another, extending zigzag from bottom to top, which is called Meng Liang ladder by the locals.

On the steep cliff next to the ladder in Meng Liang, a strange stone stands out, much like a bald and barefoot monk hanging upside down, which is called "upside down monk stone". According to legend, after the murder of Yang Ye, a famous Northern Song Dynasty star, his bones were buried on the mountainside platform of Baiyan-"Wangxiangtai". Taking Meng Liang as a thief, his department will quietly drive into Qutang, cut a hole in the cliff, insert an iron bar and build a ladder. Deceive Meng Liang. Meng Liang mistakenly thought it was dawn and was afraid of being discovered, so he had to turn back halfway and failed. In a rage, Meng Liang hung the monk upside down on the rock. In fact, these caves are the remains of the plank road built by ancient working people, and the "upside-down monk stone" is only a common stalactite in limestone areas.

However, after the impoundment of the Three Gorges in 2009, all three scenic spots will be submerged. But don't worry, as the saying goes, the old ones don't go, and the new ones don't come. After the impoundment of the Three Gorges, there will be many scenic spots along the Three Gorges for everyone to enjoy, and the beauty of the Three Gorges remains the same.

Kui men Guan fen bi Tang

The river at the canyon is less than 100 meters wide, and the cliffs on both sides are like knives. The sky is a line, the water is steep and the mountains are steep. There are five characters on the rock, namely, the west gate of the Three Gorges-Kuimen is closed.

We can see that the mighty Yangtze River suddenly narrows here, and the narrowest point is less than 10 meter, forming a spectacular scene of "more water will flourish, and the winding pond will compete for a door". Since ancient times, Kuimen has been known as a hero in the world. Sun's ten characters "Kuimen is a hero in the world, and the ship is lighter than the plane" are engraved on the stone wall of Linjiang. In addition, please see, these are five yuan and ten yuan RMB, and behind them is this magnificent and steep Kuimen. So, I suggest you take a photo here, one as a souvenir, and the other as a way to bring home the rolling money.

The cliffs on both sides of the Linjiang River are covered with inscriptions of past dynasties, with complete seal, official script, model and line, as strict as the hall wall in Mo Bao, hence the name "Fenbi Hall". After the impoundment of the Three Gorges Project, the inscriptions on the Fenbitang will be submerged, and the state has taken protection measures such as in-situ protection and cutting reproduction, and some of the inscriptions will be copied in higher places. The "Fenbi Hall" will also be destroyed after water storage.

Baidicheng

After crossing Kuimen Pass, the boat arrived at Baidicheng, the terminal of the Three Gorges. Baidicheng, located on the north bank of the Yangtze River, has been called "Poetry City" since ancient times. Originally named Ziyang City, Baidi City was built by Gongsun Shu when Xin Mang enfeoffed Sichuan. According to legend, there is a well in the city, in which white fog is flying, and its shape is like a white dragon, soaring into the sky, so Gongsun Shu calls itself Baidicheng, and the city is renamed Baidicheng. Later generations built a Bai Di Temple here. Bai Di has always been famous at home and abroad for the story of "Liu Bei's orphan" in The Romance of the Three Kingdoms. After the impoundment of the Three Gorges Project, the water will be submerged halfway up the mountain, forming a scenic spot like the misty fairy mountain.
