Aesthetics of ancient eyebrow language

The ancients called the eyebrows a "rainbow of seven emotions" because it showed different modality and made the face more three-dimensional. There are also many descriptions of eyebrows in ancient poems, such as Bai Juyi's "the only petal is like her face and a willow leaf is like her eyebrow" and "gold does not hesitate to buy a moth eyebrow" and so on. There are many changes in the form of eyebrows in ancient China, which can reflect the aesthetics of women at that time. For example, the "moth eyebrow" was popular in Qin dynasty, and the "eight-character eyebrow" was advocated in Han dynasty. In the Tang Dynasty, the eyebrows were mainly willow eyebrows and moon eyebrows, and in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the eyebrows were mainly slender and curved, which has continued to this day.
