What is a high-pressure rail engine?

"High pressure" means that the pressure of the fuel injection system is three times higher than that of the traditional diesel engine, and the highest pressure can reach 200MPa (while the fuel injection pressure of the traditional diesel engine is 60-70 MPa). High pressure is easier to atomize and burn more fully, thus improving power and ultimately achieving the purpose of saving fuel.

"* * * * rail" is used to supply oil to all injectors at the same time through a common oil supply pipe. The fuel injection quantity is accurately calculated by ECU, and fuel with the same quality and pressure is provided to all injectors at the same time, which makes the engine run more smoothly and optimizes the comprehensive performance of diesel engine. However, the traditional diesel engine injects fuel into each cylinder, and the fuel injection quantity and pressure are inconsistent, which leads to uneven operation, unstable combustion, loud noise and high fuel consumption.

At present, the diesel engines made in China with international advanced electronic control high-pressure rail technology adopt the latest core technology of European and American diesel engines, which is obviously superior to the traditional supercharged diesel engines. Compared with the traditional supercharged diesel engine, the combustion efficiency is increased by 8%, the carbon dioxide emission is reduced by 10%, and the noise is reduced by 15%, which completely changes the image of diesel engine as "noisy and smoky" in people's minds.
