What's the difference between a rubber waterstop and a rubber waterstop that swells with water?

Rubber waterstops and water-swellable waterstops belong to rubber waterproof materials used in construction projects and can be used for construction joints or deformation joints. The water-stop belt that swells when meeting water absorbs water and swells after meeting water, which plays the role of controlling water leakage with water. There are two kinds of water-stop belts that swell when meeting water: BW putty type and PZ product type.

Rubber waterstops are divided into embedded waterstops, externally attached waterstops, detachable waterstops, grouting waterstops, steel-edged rubber composite waterstops and water-swellable composite rubber waterstops.
