1. Weaving Technology

Through long-term labor, the Zhuang people have formed a complete set of Zhuang brocade weaving technology. They use manual looms equipped with support systems, transmission devices, heddle separators and jacquard devices, skillfully interwoven cotton yarns as warp yarns and various colors of velvet as weft yarns. The traditional small wooden loom, also known as the bamboo cage loom, is equipped with a "flower cage". The most important feature of the Sho loom is the weaving of flower patterns and the use of flower cages to raise flowers.

2. The color of Zhuang brocade

"Red with green, beautiful" reflects some of the requirements of the Zhuang brocade artists on its color scheme: it should be bright, eye-catching and durable. Zhuang people like bright colors, red, yellow, blue, green as the basic color, the rest for the complementary colors, bright and strong contrast and red as the base color, full of warm, active, festive atmosphere; in the green against the backdrop of a cheerful atmosphere; if the yellow-green arrangement, it looks gorgeous and flowing. 3. Zhuang Brocade Patterns

There are roughly three styles of Zhuang Brocade patterns: first, weaving two consecutive geometric patterns and four consecutive geometric patterns on plain fabrics to form consecutive geometric patterns that are simple and clear; second, taking various geometric patterns as the basis and decorating them with animal and plant patterns to form a multi-layered composite pattern with clear patterns and reliefs; and third, combining various geometric patterns. interspersed with squares and circles, weaving a complex geometric pattern with a sense of rhythm, rigor and harmony.

There are dozens of traditional patterns, most of the choice of life in the visible objects and symbols of good luck and happiness of the floral patterns, especially geometric patterns. The common ones are chevron, water wave pattern, cloud pattern, back pattern, weaving pattern, concentric circles, and images of various flowers and animals, such as lotus, phoenix wearing peonies, double dragons playing with beads, lions rolling balls, and carp leaping over the Dragon Gate. Feng's pattern is in the leading position in Zhuang brocade, "ten brocade nine phoenix, born as a phoenix, out of the brocade". This is because the Zhuang people love the phoenix and regard it as a symbol of good luck.
