Three ways to achieve carbon neutrality are as follows:

I. Controlling or reducing carbon emissions

The energy industry has always been the industry with the largest proportion of carbon emissions. In order to achieve the goal of carbon neutrality, the energy industry, as the source of carbon production, is bound to undergo major reforms. For example, adjust the energy structure, limit fossil energy and develop clean energy such as wind energy and light energy. As energy users, industries such as industry, construction and transportation pay more attention to technological innovation, such as green manufacturing and new energy vehicles.

Second, promote and increase carbon absorption.

Technical carbon fixation and ecological carbon fixation are two ways of carbon absorption at present. Carbon capture, utilization and storage technology (CCUS) is mainly used for technical carbon fixation. Ecological carbon fixation mainly depends on photosynthesis of plants such as forests and green spaces.

Third, the green financial system supports carbon neutrality.

Some of the main activities represented are the carbon trading system and carbon tax we introduced in the last issue. They are all systems derived from carbon emissions as a trading currency, which can promote the spontaneous carbon reduction behavior of various industries to a certain extent.
