What kinds of label paper do you have? What is the difference?

Label paper includes: coated paper label; PET advanced label paper; PVC advanced label paper; Thermal paper; Clothing tag; Synthetic paper.

The difference lies in the name, material, scope of application and so on.

First, coated paper labels

It is a common material for bar code printers, and its thickness is generally around 80g. Widely used in supermarkets, inventory management, clothing tags, industrial production lines and other places where the amount of coated paper labels is more. Coated label paper has the best performance, and its white ultra-smooth uncoated paper is an excellent basic material for thermal transfer printing. Scope of application: outer box labels, price labels, asset management records, body labels of ordinary household appliances, etc.

Second, PET advanced label paper

PET is the abbreviation of polyester film. It's actually a polymer material. PET is hard and brittle, and the common colors are silver, white and bright white. According to the thickness, there are 25 times (1 times = 1um), 50 times, 75 times and other specifications, which are related to the actual requirements of manufacturers. Because of its excellent dielectric properties, PET is widely used in many special occasions, such as mobile phone batteries, computer monitors, air-conditioning compressors and so on. In addition, PET paper has good natural biodegradability, which is paid more and more attention by manufacturers.

Third, PVC advanced label paper

PVC is the abbreviation of vinyl, and it is also a polymer material. Common colors are sub-white and pearl white. The performance of PVC is close to that of PET. Compared with PET, it has better flexibility and softer feel, and is often used in some high-end occasions such as jewelry, watches, electronics and metal industries. However, PVC has poor biodegradability, which has a negative impact on environmental protection. Some developed countries abroad have begun to develop alternative products in this field.

Fourth, thermal paper.

It is a paper material treated with a high-sensitivity heat-sensitive coating. High-sensitivity surface materials can be applied to low-voltage print heads, so the wear on the print heads is extremely small. Thermal paper is a kind of thermal paper specially used for electronic scales and cash registers. The easiest way to test thermal paper is to scrape it with your nails, which will leave black scratches. Thermal paper is suitable for shelf labels such as cold storage and freezer, and its size is mostly fixed at 40mmX60mm standard.

Five, clothing tag

Double-sided coated paper is usually used. The thickness of coated paper used for clothing tag is generally between 160g-300g, but the clothing tag that is too thick is suitable for printing. The clothing tag printed by bar code printer should be about 180g, so as to ensure good printing effect and protect the print head. Scope of application: price labels of clothes, shoes, supermarkets and shopping malls.

Six, synthetic paper

Synthetic paper has the characteristics of high strength, tear resistance, perforation resistance, wear resistance, folding resistance, moisture resistance and moth resistance. Because synthetic paper does not produce dust and lint, it can be used in clean rooms. You can contact food directly. Waterproof, oil-proof, non-fragile, high-temperature resistant and wear-resistant, which can be divided into matte surface, plain surface and bright surface. Scope of application: electronics, household appliances, automobiles, chemicals and other industries.
