Bamboo building, a dry column building, is a house above the ground built on a wooden (bamboo) column underframe. Yunnan is commonly known as Bamboo House. As the name implies, it is built with bamboo as the main material, but in fact most of it is built with wood. Real bamboo is extremely rare.
Dai bamboo generally uses dozens of wooden columns as the main supporting frame, and the floor is laid at a height of more than 2 meters from the ground. The building is divided into two floors, and there is no fence downstairs. It is a place for tying livestock, raising poultry and stacking farm tools.
Traditional folk houses, in ancient Yunnan with developed economy and rich cultural accumulation, the cultures of Bai, Yi, Naxi and other ethnic minorities merged with the Han culture, forming a civil structure building in the form of "one vertical and two ears", "three rooms and one wall", "four entrances and five patios" and "one seal". "One Front and Two Ears" is a two-story building with two bungalows hanging on the side.
The plane of "three rooms and one zhaobi" is three mutually vertical two-story buildings, which are combined into a zhaobi, and the gate is opened next to the zhaobi; "Four-in-one and five-patio" is a big patio, which is vertically surrounded by four small two-story buildings. There is a pavilion at the junction of the two small buildings to form a small patio, making a total of five patios.
