First, China's traditional filial piety culture has been transformed by feudal rulers and emperors' culture, and has become the ideology of feudal rule. Its negative effects are extremely prominent, which are concentrated in ignorance, inequality, feudalism and conservatism.

Secondly, since the May 4th Movement, in the process of anti-imperialism and anti-feudalism, there is not enough scientific and rational research and discussion on the core of China's traditional filial piety culture, which leads to the problem of not distinguishing right from wrong and overcorrecting.

Third, for a long time, China's ideology has been influenced by "Left" thoughts for a long time, which has imprisoned people's thoughts. In particular, the ten-year catastrophe has completely criticized and denied the filial piety culture, making it difficult for people to correctly treat the reasonable core of the filial piety culture.

Although the traditional filial piety culture in China has experienced a fault period, this phenomenon mainly occurred in the ideological field. In people's daily life, the excellent elements in China's traditional filial piety culture still play an important role. Thus, the traditional filial piety culture in China has great vitality.
