What is the origin of sledding?
The origin of sleigh
Sleigh is snow sports equipment. Made of wood or metal. There are many kinds, such as rudderless, rudder, single sled, wide sled, riding, horizontal, modular, traction, electric, sail and so on. At present, only bobsleigh (also called "Sports bobsleigh" or "Single bobsleigh") is used to compete with bobsleigh in the Winter Olympics.
The sleigh is made of wood, and the bottom skateboard belongs to the whole genus. The width of a pair of parallel skateboards does not exceed 45 cm. The front wing of the skateboard is allowed to keep a certain elasticity, but it is not allowed to operate the rudder and brakes of the skateboard. The single-seat weight does not exceed 20 kg, and the double-seat weight does not exceed 22 kg.
Bobsleigh is made of metal, with a pair of movable steering plates at the front and a steering wheel at the upper part. And is equipped with a fixed streamlined shell. A brake is installed at the lower part of the tail. The double sleigh is 270 cm long and 67 cm wide, including the person's weight not exceeding 375 kg. The four-person sleigh is 380 cm long and 67 cm wide, including the person's weight not exceeding 630 kg. If the weight is insufficient, you can bring other heavier things to make up for it.
Sleigh originated in northern Europe, also known as Nordic sleigh.
February 1883 February 12, Swiss Pete and Australian George joined hands in a "Great International Skating Competition". It took them 9 minutes 15 seconds to skate across the 4 km track in Davos, Switzerland. Subsequently, this movement rose rapidly in Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Italy and the United States.
From 65438 to 0887, Matisse, a mechanical expert in Saint Moritz, Switzerland, designed and manufactured the world's first racing sled. Since 1950s, with the rise of bobsleigh, bobsleigh has been gradually eliminated. When the sled slides down, the athlete lies prone on the sled with his head forward, and the anti-skid nail installed at the front end of the special boots is used to control the direction of the sled or brake. Only in 1928 and 1948, it was listed as the Winter Olympics.
In the current sled race, the speed of the players can reach more than 140 km per hour, and the centrifugal force exceeds 5G.
The sled was originally made of wood, and later it was made of metal. 1884 The first open sleigh race was held in Britain. 1924 was listed as the first Winter Olympics, which was divided into bobsleigh and bobsleigh.
During the competition, athletes are required to slide down and turn at high speed on the special ice and snow line by wooden or metal double-sled skateboard. The athlete sits on the sled, and pushes back with his hands by the starting railing to start the sled. During the sliding process, the athlete lies on his back on the sled, pulls the sled belt with one hand, and controls the sled to slide down the ice track quickly by changing his body posture. When reaching the finish line, the athlete must be on the sled, otherwise the result will be invalid. Because the lines are mostly S-shaped bends, the speed is extremely high, and the taxiing process is thrilling. Similar to sledding, there are snowmobiles.
At present, only bobsleigh (also called "Sports bobsleigh" or "Single bobsleigh") is used to compete with bobsleigh in the Winter Olympics. The length and width of the sled in bobsleigh Olympic Winter Games shall not exceed 2.7m, the width of the sled board shall not exceed 0.67m, and the width of the sled board shall be 8mm. When the sled slides, the weight of the sled shall not exceed 375kg.
Among them, athletes skate four times in a game, and the game is divided into two days, and each time they skate twice. The starting order of the first round is decided by drawing lots. After that, we will rank according to the results of the last round, and the worst group will start first. After four rounds, the time to reach the finish line will be accumulated four times, and the final result will be obtained. The lower the number, the higher the ranking. If there is the same time, the team that finishes the game in the fastest time at any time will be the winner.
