The method of thermal transfer paper:

1. sublimation method

This is the most commonly used method. Based on the sublimation characteristics of disperse dyes, disperse dyes with molecular weight of 250~400 and particle size of 0.2~2 microns are made into ink with water-soluble carrier (such as sodium alginate) or alcohol-soluble carrier (such as ethyl cellulose) and oil-soluble resin, and treated at 200 ~ 230℃ on a transfer printing machine for 20~30 seconds to transfer the disperse dyes to synthetic fibers such as polyester and fix the color.

2. Swimming method

The dyes in transfer paper ink layer are selected according to the properties of fibers. Firstly, the fabric is immersed in the mixed solution composed of fixing auxiliaries and paste, then the dye is transferred from the transfer printing paper to the fabric, and the color is fixed by hot-pressing migration in the wet state, and finally the wet treatment such as steaming and washing is carried out. When the dye is transferred, there is great pressure between the fabric and transfer paper.

3. Melting method

Transfer paper's ink layer is based on dyes and waxes. The ink layer is embedded in the fabric by melt pressing, so that part of the ink is transferred to the fiber, and then the corresponding post-treatment is carried out according to the properties of the dye. When the melting method is used, larger pressure is needed, and the dye transfer rate increases with the increase of pressure.

4. Stripping method of ink layer

Using the ink which can produce strong adhesion to the fiber when heated, the whole ink layer is transferred from transfer paper to the fabric under less pressure, and then the corresponding fixation treatment is carried out according to the properties of the dye.

Thermal sublimation transfer printing process

Various styles, colors and patterns required by customers are processed into polyester fabric, TC cloth, plush fabric, artificial leather and other different materials through computer design-computer color separation-electric engraving-rotary gravure heat transfer paper. Compared with traditional screen printing, this process printing has the advantages of rich patterns, clear layers and bright colors.
