Since ancient times, the kingfisher has been regarded as a symbol of peace and tranquility by Mongolians, and is known as the "flower of offerings". Also known as "Бавар цэцэг (Babur flower)", "тосон цэцэг (oil flower)", the legend of the saddle on the "Babur" (saddle flower) the word originated from this flower. It is said that the word "Babur" (saddle flower) originated from this flower. The shape of its blue or pink petals is similar to that of the saddle flower.
