How to make Mid-Autumn Festival lanterns
1. Material preparation: a red, yellow and orange cardboard, a pair of scissors, a bottle of glue, a pencil and a ruler. Cut the cardboard into strips with equal width, the length can be determined according to personal preference, generally about 30 cm. Then roll the paper into a circle according to the different colors of the cardboard and fix it with glue. These circular strips can be used as the bottom and top of lanterns.
2. Make a rectangle with red cardboard. The size depends on the size of the bottom circle, which is generally about twice the diameter of the circle. Roll the two ends of the rectangle into a circle and fix it with glue, which becomes the main part of the lantern.
3. Cut out some rectangles on yellow and orange cardboard respectively. The width of these rectangles depends on the height of the lamp body, which is generally smaller than the height of the main body. Then, roll these rectangles into cylinders and fix them with glue respectively. These cylinders will be used as beards for lanterns.
4. Paste the yellow and orange cylinders on both sides above the red round body to form the shape of the lantern whiskers. Then cut the tops of the cylinders into triangles with scissors to make them look more like lanterns' beards. Finally, draw some patterns or write some greetings on the lanterns with pencils and rulers to make the lanterns more beautiful and memorable.
