Kneeling for English introduction about Kunqu opera
Kunqu is a system of singing and singing art originating from Kunshan, Suzhou, in the 14th and 15th centuries, and is a combination of singing, reading, acting, dancing and martial arts. Kunqu is one of the oldest types of theater in China, and a treasure of our traditional culture and art. In the Ming Dynasty, people called the Southern Opera "Legend". After the Ming Dynasty, miscellaneous operas declined, and the music of Legend was the only one dominating the theater, and the music of miscellaneous operas was also collected, and the name was changed to Kunqu. It is known for its elegant lyrics, melodious voice, and delicate performance, and is regarded as the "Ancestor of the Hundred Operas". Kunqu uses drums and boards to control the rhythm of the singing, with flutes and sanxian strings as the main accompanying instruments, and its singing and reciting are in the "Zhongzhou rhyme". In 2001, Kunqu was listed as a UNESCO Masterpiece of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity. During the Ming Dynasty, the music of the Han Chinese people was mainly opera music.
