What are antigens and antibodies?
Antibodies are immunoglobulins produced by animals after vaccination. Antiserum or hyperimmune yolk antibodies prepared by a certain method are biological agents containing a large amount of antibodies. After injecting antibody preparations into animals, it has both preventive and therapeutic effects on infectious diseases. Since it usually takes 3 to 5 days, or even 7 to 10 days for an animal to have a significant protective effect after being vaccinated, for duck diseases that occur at an earlier age, it is best to use antiserum or high-intensity antiserum on the basis of immunizing the mother duck. Injecting yolk-free antibodies into ducklings will further increase the antibody level in the ducklings, which has the best effect. Of course, only ducklings can be immunized with antibodies. If you cannot buy antibodies, you can only use vaccines to immunize mother ducks or directly use vaccines to immunize ducklings, and the effect will be relatively poor.
