Making high-quality sports shoes with PS

It is very complicated to draw realistic objects. First of all, we should find some physical drawings as a reference to decompose the structure of the object. After drawing a rough color block layer, we can describe the details of each part one by one.

Final effect

1, draw the outline of sports shoes with pen tool, and fill with large color blocks. It will be faster to paste a physical picture when sketching (similar to tracing), or you can hook it yourself (similar to copying) to exercise your body control.

When sketching, you need to think about it in advance. You should roughly divide the object into several parts and distinguish them with different color shades, which is convenient for further characterization in the later stage.

2. The conventional practice should be to start drawing the relationship between light and shadow, and finally add texture and depict details.

The basic drawing method is shown on the right. Firstly, the basic relationship between light and shadow is added by gradient superposition, then the texture is added, and finally the light and shadow are further described. I basically only use black and white soft angle brushes, the flow rate is set to 5%- 10%, and the layer blending mode is "overlay" or "soft light".

3. The method of making the mesh surface is as follows: first, use the shape tool to make a plane mesh similar to the honeycomb shape, then use the methods of distortion, perspective and deformation to make the perspective as shown in the figure, and finally add the layer style.

4. The method of making the inside of sports shoes is similar to that of shoelaces. First, draw the basic relationship between light and shadow by the method mentioned above, and then overlay the texture details with the layer styles such as inclined relief and PS texture pattern.

5. Shadows can be drawn with a soft-angled brush, and then adjusted and decorated with a smudging tool, which needs to conform to the shape of the sole, close to reality and far from imagination. Background: I use radial gradient to highlight the central subject more, and the color is similar to that of the subject with low saturation, which is harmonious and unified and convenient to set off objects.
