Why is traditional Wushu vulnerable?

I feel that traditional martial arts are distorted by film and television works. There are great exaggerations in film and television works, mainly for better visual effects. Moreover, many martial arts films are martial arts-oriented, so appreciation is the first.

Everyone knows that Jet Li and Jackie Chan are called Kung Fu superstars, but in fact they are much inferior in actual combat. Bruce Lee is the only one who can really be called a Kung Fu superstar or a Kung Fu kingdom, because Jeet Kune Do, which he founded, attaches great importance to actual combat. Everything is based on actual combat, and it can burst into huge energy in an instant, achieving the effect of stability and cruelty. Unfortunately, he died young.

These three pictures clearly show the difference between three people, that is, eyes and posture. Bruce Lee's eyes are full of murderous look, which Jet Li and Jackie Chan can't see at all.

Personally, I think that the focus of traditional martial arts lies in the cultivation of personal cultivation and physical quality, and it emphasizes self-tempering and shaping, thus ignoring or weakening actual combat skills. In recent years, film and television dramas have also exaggerated and dramatized the real martial arts, so people think that traditional martial arts should be more powerful, but in fact its performance in actual combat is not satisfactory.

On the contrary, Bruce Lee's Jeet Kune Do and other martial arts that pay more attention to actual combat will be better in actual combat. There are also Japanese karate, Thai Muay Thai and so on.

Of course, I don't mean to belittle traditional martial arts. I just feel that the characteristics, emphasis and purpose of traditional martial arts and fighting are not the same, and my personal feelings cannot be directly compared.
