What influence does the family environment have on children's social development?

Abstract: As the first place for preschool children to study, family plays an indispensable role in the process of children's growth. Family is the starting point and basic point of preschool children's education and plays a particularly important role in preschool children's social development. Therefore, we must attach great importance to the influence of family on children's social development and lay the foundation for the healthy and all-round development of preschool children in the future through active guidance.

Effective family education can promote children to acquire basic social behavior norms, cultivate children's good ideological and moral quality and independent ability, and promote the formation and development of children's personality. Therefore, family structure, family living environment, family relationship, parents' educational concept and so on all affect children's social development to varying degrees.

1. The influence of family structure on the social development of preschool children. Family structure refers to the composition and number of members in a family. Family structure mainly includes the following types: nuclear family, main family, single-parent family or divorced family. Different types of family structures have different influences on children's social development. In the nuclear family, because there are only two generations of family members and the family structure is relatively simple, the communication between family members increases, which is easy to form close feelings, which is the basis for parents to educate their children. In this kind of family, it is easy for parents to reach an agreement on their children's educational ideas and understanding. Parents have a great influence on their children's social process. However, due to the small number of family members, children's communication objects are single, which is not conducive to the formation of strong communication skills. In the main family, it runs in the family, the grandchild, has a large population, a large scale and complicated levels. However, this kind of family also has advantages. According to the data, the only child has higher IQ than the non-only child, and shows the characteristics of liveliness, health, positivity and initiative. Faced with the problem of social cultivation of the only child, some experts suggest that children should be provided with more opportunities to communicate with their peers, guide them to rationally solve the contradictions with their peers, and cultivate their interpersonal skills. Second, the influence of family living environment on the social development of preschool children "Children have an absorbing mind". However, the crowded living conditions in the city and the unified pattern of single-family houses restrict children's outdoor activities and communication with neighbors, and affect the communication between children and their peers. It is in the equal and close communication with peers that children learn to abide by rules, cooperate, unite, understand and be considerate of others, which are all essential qualities and abilities for entering the society in the future. Family relationships include parent-child relationships, husband-wife relationships and other family members.
