Uterine fibroids are the most common benign gynecological tumors, mostly seen in 30-50 years old, there are many treatment methods for uterine fibroids, commonly used surgical treatment.

Transabdominal hysterectomy: it is suitable for patients who have no reproductive requirements, uterus ≥ 12 weeks of gestation uterus size; excessive menstruation with hemorrhagic anemia; fast growth of fibroids; symptoms of bladder or rectal compression; failure of conservative treatment or reoccurrence of fibroids after myoma enucleation, and the tumor is large or symptoms are serious.

2. Transvaginal hysterectomy: suitable for pelvic cavity without adhesion, inflammation, adnexa without mass; for the abdomen without scar or individual abdominal obesity; uterus and fibroid volume does not exceed the size of 3 months of pregnancy; uterine prolapse can be transvaginal resection of the uterus at the same time as the pelvic floor reconstruction; no previous pelvic surgery history, do not need to explore or excise the adnexa; fibroid with diabetes mellitus, hypertension, coronary heart disease, obesity and other medical comorbidities. The patients with fibroid with diabetes mellitus, hypertension, coronary heart disease, obesity and other medical comorbidities can not tolerate open surgery.

3. Cervical myomectomy: cervicovaginal fibroids that are too large to cause surgical difficulties should be operated on as soon as possible (transvaginally); fibroids that are large enough to produce compression symptoms, oppression of the rectum, ureter, or bladder; fibroids that are growing rapidly and are suspected to be malignant; fibroidectomy is feasible for young patients who need to retain their reproductive function, or a total uterine excision should be performed.
