1. The classic folk songs that have been passed down from the Japanese colonial period to before and after the restoration of Taiwan and are still unforgettable today are called Taiwanese folk songs.
Such as ~Watch the Spring Breeze, Night Rain in Hong Kong, Night Flowers in the Rain, Thinking of Xiangzhi, White Peony, Mending the Broken Nets, Roasted Meat Dumplings, and Sisterhood of the Green Oyster, etc. Most of these ballads are sad and pitiful, but they have been written in Taiwanese. Most of the songs are more sorrowful and self-pitying.
2. The school folk songs of the mid-1970s are now known as "folk songs" in Taiwan. It is a Taiwanese style of music.
Because of its fresh and clean style and lyrics that are mostly like modern poems, it immediately became the mainstream of Taiwanese music at that time. It flourished for about 10 years.
