Campus environment of Central South University

Central South University is located in Changsha City, Hunan Province, with a total area of 5,632 mu. The main campus covers an area of 3.86 million square meters, located at the foot of Yuelu Mountain in the west of Changsha, and adjacent to Xiangjiang River in the east. New Campus of Central South University: The first phase of the new campus covering an area of nearly 2,000 mu (with an investment of 2.5 billion yuan) was completed and put into use in August 2009. It has an advanced digital library, a fully functional teaching building, an advanced physics laboratory building, an electronic and electrical laboratory building and a foreign language teaching building. The new gymnasium built in 2008 is among them. The new campus has realized the digitalization of information and automation of management, equipped with air conditioning and taught by all teachers and students.

Central South University Library: The new campus library is the main body, distributed in five campuses, with a total construction area of 70,000 square meters, 12 business departments, more than 5,500 reading seats, and the weekly opening hours are 70- 105 hours. Central South University Stadium: called "Central South Bird's Nest" by college students, it was officially put into use in 2008, with a building area of 15346 square meters and seats of 18000. It is one of the largest stadiums in domestic universities. Every year, the orientation, registration and registration of freshmen are completed in the gymnasium.
