Yan'an Revolutionary Memorial Hall was founded in 1950. The original site of the museum is at the foot of Phoenix Mountain. 1968, a new museum was built in Wangjia Ping, and officially opened to the public in 1973. The words "Yan'an Revolutionary Memorial Hall" above the main door of the exhibition hall were inscribed by Guo Moruo.

First, I went to the left side of the Yan'an period from the strict rule of the party's exhibitions, starting from a big party constitution and so on, and then went to the Gutian meeting, and then there are all kinds of Yan'an period of cultural relics and from the strict rule of the party's case. The exit was at the back of the memorial hall and then I went around the front to the main hall. The main hall is flanked by 9 statues of figures from the Yan'an period.

There is a small table of history with Qinyuan Chunxue written by Chairman Mao. Inside are reproductions of Yan'an's city walls, Yan'an's sand table, detailed reports of various battles, armbands and other artifacts.

The first-floor exit has weapons captured by the Japanese. Unfortunately, many of them are open-ended. Maxim and Czech were not Japanese, so they could be considered pseudo-army. Anyway, the descriptions of the weapons in the museum are sketchy and sloppy without specific models.

On the second floor are exhibits on political activities, mass production, cultural life, medical care, etc. in Yan'an. It also simulates a street in Yan'an's new market, lined with Yan'an stores, with portraits of Chairman Mao hanging inside each one.

Then there are many versions of the Chairman's works, some souvenirs related to the 7th National Congress, some relics of the August 4th Air Crash, and finally an aerial photo of Yan'an today.
