The organization of China's traditional navy
Nanyang Navy was formally established in 1875 by Shen Baozhen, Governor of Liangjiang River and Minister of Nanyang Trade. The sea area that Nanyang Navy is responsible for is Jiangsu and Zhejiang, and the berths are mainly Shanghai and Nanjing. To 1909, the north and south merged to form the cruiser fleet and the Yangtze River fleet. Nanyang fleet officially disappeared.
Fujian Navy: In order to strengthen the defense of Taiwan Province Strait, the Qing court issued an imperial edict on1July 4, 879. The Qing government ordered the ships of Fujian Bureau to be trained into an army first, and the Fujian Navy was announced. Before the Sino-French War, Fujian Ship Administration Navy had become the largest fleet in China, and its base was Mawei Military Port. 1In the Majiang naval battle that broke out on August 22, 884, the ship administration and navy were almost completely annihilated.
Guangdong Navy was a fleet deployed in the South China Sea in the late Qing Dynasty, which was in charge of the Governor of Guangdong and Guangxi, and its main base was located in Huangpu, Guangzhou.
