What is the NC machining route?

For point-controlled CNC machine tools, it is only required that the positioning accuracy is high and the positioning process is as fast as possible, and the movement route of the tool relative to the workpiece is irrelevant, so this kind of machine tools should arrange the aisle route according to the shortest free distance. In addition, it is necessary to determine the axial movement size of the tool, which is mainly determined by the hole depth of the machined part, but some auxiliary dimensions, such as the introduction distance and overtravel of the tool, should also be considered. For hole machining with high position accuracy, special attention should be paid to the arrangement of hole machining sequence. If the layout is improper, it may bring about the reverse clearance of the coordinate axis, which will directly affect the position accuracy. As shown in Figure 2-23, Figure A is a part drawing, in which six holes with the same size are drilled and there are two processing routes. When machining according to the route shown in Figure B, because the positioning direction of holes 5 and 6 is opposite to that of holes 1, 2, 3 and 4, the reverse clearance in Y direction will increase the positioning error and affect the positioning accuracy of holes 5 and 6 and other holes.
