What are the characteristics of Vietnamese Khmer dance?
The Khmer population is about 6.5438+0.3 million, mainly living in some provinces in the Jiulong River Plain in southern Vietnam. Khmer in Vietnam and Khmer in Cambodia belong to the same ethnic group. Every Khmer village has temples, and the buildings are full of ethnic customs. Khmer people believe in Brahmanism and Hinayana Buddhism. According to custom, children should go to temples to become monks before they reach adulthood. Khmer writing originated from Indian Sanskrit and was formed when Hinduism was introduced more than 200 years ago. Khmer dances are cheerful and free-spirited, with rhythmic music, colorful costumes and gorgeous makeup. When dancing, the body movements are delicate, the sense of sculpture is strong, the changes are static and dynamic, and the dance is gentle and moving.
