What is the traditional French tricolor?

France has no special traditional colors.

If it represents the color of France, it can be seen as white and red in the layup, because this is the color of the French flag. However, the Fifth Republic was founded in 1789, and it is a bit far-fetched to say that these three colors are traditional colors.
