What is the meaning of zhizi in go?
Weiqi is a method of taking advantage of the fact that the opponent's piece has only one breath, and by constantly twisting and turning it is called to be eaten.
Weiqi, a traditional Chinese chess game and an internationally recognized game, is a two-player adversarial intellectual game popular in East Asian countries such as China, Japan, and South Korea. It originated in China and was recorded during the Spring and Autumn and Warring States periods. It is one of the oldest and most complex intellectual games invented by the Chinese nation, and is one of the four arts of qin, qi, shu and painting. It was introduced to Japan through Korea in the Sui and Tang dynasties and spread to Europe and the United States.
Weiqi uses a rectangular grid-shaped board and black and white round pieces to play, with 19 vertical and horizontal lines and 361 intersections on the regular board, and the pieces must be placed at the intersections of empty spaces and non-prohibited points, with both sides playing alternately, and not being able to move or repent after the pieces have been placed, and the player who has more pieces wins the game.
Because Black has a tempo advantage, it is artificially stipulated that Black has to give White an earmark at the end of the game. The rules of the game vary slightly from country to country, including China, Japan and South Korea. Weiqi contains the rich connotation of Chinese culture and is the embodiment of Chinese culture and civilization. In November 2019, it was selected for the list of representative projects protection units of national intangible cultural heritage.
The pieces are black and white. Most of them are flat and round (there are also Ying's chess pieces with double-sided protrusions). The number of chess pieces is 180 for each of black and white. Chess pieces are round. In China, one side is flat and one side is convex, while in Japan, both sides are convex.
Yongzi, produced in Baoshan, Yunnan Province, China, has been favored by players for more than 500 years. Other valuable materials for chess pieces include agate and shells.
The surface of the board has nineteen equidistant and perpendicularly intersecting parallel lines, *** constituting 19 x 19 = 361 intersections. The overall shape of the board as well as each grid vertically and horizontally is slightly shorter horizontally compared to the other, usually 2.4 centimeters by 2.3 centimeters per grid. The board is marked with nine dots, called star positions, and the star position in the center is also known as the "heavenly element".
The discs that are given up in a handicap game are placed on the star squares (except in the case of a first move). The board is divided into "corners", "sides" and "center". For initial learning, there are 13×13 and 9×9 boards. In addition, modern excavations in some of the rarer 15 × 15, 17 × 17 road chess board.
