National Culture in Puding County

Buyi brocade is a traditional craft of Buyi nationality. The surface of brocade is similar to silk embroidery, but it is made of dyed cyan or blue silk thread as warp and colored silk thread as weft, which is carefully inserted and shuttled on ancient looms. Bouyei brocade pattern is fine and harmonious, beautiful and generous, with novel creation and strong three-dimensional sense. Originally used for clothing decoration, it has developed into wall hanging, sofa towel, travel bag and so on. It has become a precious artistic handicraft of Buyi people.

Buyi brocade is mainly distributed in Buyi villages in Puding County, especially Longjia Village in Chengguan Town.

Miao people jump flowers

Miao people's flower jumping field is also called flower jumping field. In our county, the date of Miao people's flower jumping is mostly in1-February, and the spring sowing will be held in the middle of July in the future or in the ancient calendar. Miao people jump flowers twice a year, forming a unique Miao culture in Puding. Miao people jumped flowers at first to pray for good weather and good harvests, and later became a place for young Miao men and women to fall in love.

Puding's flower farms mainly include Ma Xian, Xia Shu, Mengzheng, Mengzhou, Shage and Heping in Houchang Township, Yuedui Village in Maodong Township of Brown Township and Legedu Village in Youfen Village. Flower dance is a grand festival for all Miao compatriots regardless of genre.

Miao Lusheng Dance

Lusheng is an ancient bamboo wind instrument of Miao nationality, and its dance music has a strong sense of rhythm and appeal. It consists of four parts: sheng bucket, sheng tube, reed and * * * speaker. Shengdou is made of pine or Chinese fir, with different specifications, 20 cm short and 2 to 3 meters long. Lusheng pipes are generally made of slender bamboo, generally six pipes, with six tones of feather, palace, up, angle, sign and feather, which belong to pentatonic scale, and later developed into pentatonic scale and heptatonic scale.

Lusheng has mellow timbre and bright tunes; Miao Lusheng dance has superb skills and diverse styles. Lusheng dance and Lusheng accompanied Miao people for more than two thousand years. Lusheng made by Miao people has exquisite craftsmanship, six tones and ever-changing music. Miao men dressed in linen are rough and simple in nature, dancing Lusheng dance, blowing while jumping, walking, moving, striding, turning, standing, kicking, hooking and turning.

Lusheng Dance of Miao nationality in Puding is mainly distributed in Gezha Village, Xiaodong Village, Linfeng Village, Youfen Village and Laigedu Village in Shangping Township of Puding County.
