Qingxi is an ancient Hakka town in Lingnan, where Hakka traditional culture and art are inherited and developed. Qingxi Hakka folk song and dance has won many international and domestic awards.

Qingxi Town is located in the southeast of Dongguan City, Guangdong Province. According to legend, in the forty-seventh year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty (16 19), when Li Boxiang, a senior minister of the Southern Ritual Department of the imperial court, visited Qingxi, he recited the poem "Watch out for the Qingxi, whose source is hidden in the mountains", hence the name "Qingxi".
