What are the main refrigerants of automobile air conditioners now?

At present, the common automobile air-conditioning refrigerants on the market are R 134a, R22, R404A, R407C and so on, and the packaging specifications are 300G, 9.5KG, 10kG and so on.

R 134a refrigerant:

R 134a is one of the main refrigerants recognized internationally to replace R 12. It is often used in automobile air conditioning, commercial and industrial refrigeration systems, as a foaming agent in the production of hard plastic insulation materials, and can also be used to prepare other mixed refrigerants, such as R404A and R407C.

Main uses: mainly replacing R 12 as refrigerant, widely used in automobile air conditioning and refrigerator refrigeration.

R407C refrigerant:

Physical and chemical characteristics of R407C refrigerant: At normal temperature and pressure, R407C is a chlorine-free fluorinated alkyl non-boiling mixed refrigerant, a colorless gas, and a compressed liquefied gas stored in a steel cylinder. Its ODP is 0, so R407C is an environmentally friendly refrigerant that does not destroy the atmospheric ozone layer.

Main uses: R407C is mainly used to replace R22, which is clean, low toxic, nonflammable and has good refrigeration effect. Widely used in household air conditioners and small and medium-sized central air conditioners.

R404A refrigerant:

Physical and chemical characteristics of R404A refrigerant: R404A should not be a chlorine-free non-boiling mixed refrigerant, but a colorless gas at normal temperature and pressure, which is a compressed liquefied gas stored in a steel cylinder. Its ODP is 0, so R404A is an environmentally friendly refrigerant that does not destroy the atmospheric ozone layer.

Main uses: R404A is mainly used to replace R22 and R502. It is clean, low toxic, non-flammable and has good refrigeration effect, and is widely used in medium and low temperature refrigeration systems.

Warm reminder: At present, most imported automobile air conditioners use 134a refrigerant, and the price of 134a refrigerant in the market is higher than that of R 12. So some people change the air conditioning system of 134a into R 12 refrigerant to save a few dollars or for convenience, although they can still release cold air.

The automobile air conditioning system produced after 2002 was specially designed for 134a. If other refrigerants such as R 12 and R22 are added, it will leak for a long time, which will lead to poor refrigeration effect of automobile air conditioning and damage the whole automobile air conditioning system. Therefore, when consumers choose automobile air conditioning refrigerants, they must carefully distinguish, and Z should choose big manufacturers and trustworthy brands.
