The development of suits and skirts
Suit is one of the most successful examples of women's borrowing men's clothing. Little known is that at the end of last century, women walked through the sunshine for the first time in suits, not for going to work, but for riding horses, playing ball games or having an outing. There are a large number of skirts to wear, which are ankle-length. After World War II, women gradually gained the same legal status as traditional clothing by replacing skirts with trousers, but western society has always been more formal about women wearing skirts. Therefore, a suit skirt is more formal than western trousers, and a short skirt is more formal than a long skirt. In the 1940s, a large number of women walked out of boudoir in the war, which formed the climax of the first large-scale use of professional women's clothing. As a classic style of professional women's wear, suits and skirts are fixed, and the details change with the fashion. For example, the original suit skirt is about 15 cm above the knee. In the 1980s, the miniskirt that came into the office had climbed to 22 cm above the knee, and it was difficult to keep her manners even if she sat still.
