What are the three kinds of power according to Carr?
Rational statutory authority, conventional authority, and divinely ordained authority.
He argues that the instability of charismatic authority inevitably leads to its forced transformation into "conventional" forms of authority, that is, traditional or bureaucratic domination. Similarly, he notes that in purely traditional domination, a certain level of resistance to the dominator produces a "revolution of tradition".
Weber thus also implied that society would gradually move toward a rational and legitimate authority structure and utilize a bureaucratic structure. Although Weber's voluminous writings imply that this rationalization of society is an inevitable trend, he himself was careful to avoid the logic of evolution and teleology.

Philosophy of Marx
It is generally believed that Marx's philosophy did not have an absolute impact in his time; however, just a few years after his death, at the end of the nineteenth century, as the general crisis in the bourgeois world intensified, Marx's philosophy spread rapidly throughout the world. The establishment of a capitalist-style welfare state became the trend of political and economic reforms in the advanced countries of Europe.
The Marxist school was then divided into the non-revolutionary (Evolutionary Marxism) and revolutionary (Revolutionary Marxism) schools. The non-revolutionary doctrine, also known as revisionism, centered on Edward Bernstein, advocated progressive socialist development and viewed Marxism as a moral standard.
The revolutionary school of thought, on the other hand, is best known for the radical Lenin, and emphasizes the inescapable necessity of violent revolution for the establishment of the dictatorship of the proletariat. The revolutionary school regarded Marxism as a scientific theory of history and a proletarian worldview, methodology, and believed that this theory was a theoretical reflection of the objective process of history, a product of the vast number of working people in practice, and the crystallization of all the outstanding cultural heritage of mankind.
