What do you think? What about pesticide spraying drones in rural areas?

Unmanned aerial vehicle, also known as intelligent aircraft, is not only used for military reconnaissance, but also widely used in agriculture. UAV spraying pesticides has become the mainstream in some areas of Shandong. In agricultural production, spraying pesticides is an essential link. In the vast North China Plain, crops should be sprayed at least twice a season, and if there are many pests, they need to be sprayed many times.

The way of spraying pesticides has the following innovations: at the earliest stage, powder was mixed with sand, artificially sprinkled on farmland, and then manually pressed to appear medicine cans. Manual pressing while spraying not only tests the back strength of the planter, but also needs the arm strength of the planter. Later, the electric pressurizing device appeared, but it still needed manpower to carry nearly 20 kilograms of medicine cans in the field, and the manpower was not liberated. In addition, when growers walk among crops, they are easy to trample on crops and affect their growth. On the other hand, when people spray pesticides, the human body is easy to inhale residual pesticides, thus affecting the health of growers. Another disadvantage of manual spraying of pesticides is its low efficiency. A person can spray up to 20 acres of land without stopping, while drones can spray hundreds of acres. In terms of large-scale pest control, the advantages of drones are more prominent. For example, after the rainstorm in Shandong in the middle and late August, although the drought has eased, the pests need to be further controlled, but it is difficult to accumulate water and spray drugs manually, with only two to three days of intermission, followed by rainy weather. Therefore, farmers who contract land need to spray pesticides on soybeans within one day. It is the general trend for drones to spray pesticides. But there are also some problems.

First, farmers have certain conservative ideas, and it will take some time to accept new things, so it is necessary to publicize drone spraying pesticides to farmers.

Second, the price of spraying pesticides by drones needs to be further reduced, or the state provides some subsidies. At present, the cost of spraying in Shandong 1 mu is about 12 yuan, and it is hoped that spraying at least four times a year can reduce the cost.

Thirdly, poplar trees are planted around most farmland, and there is no large farmland, which seriously limits the efficiency and safety of UAV. Therefore, it is necessary to make a new plan for farmland division.

Fourth, the right to use drones is mostly concentrated in the hands of a few technicians, and few farmers have the opportunity to operate them. I hope that drones can be like other agricultural machinery, and farmers can receive formal training.
