In the lower grades of primary school, we should pay attention to cultivating intimate relations, carrying out enlightenment education and cultivating feelings of loving Chinese excellent traditional culture. In the senior grades of primary schools, cognitive education should focus on improving sensibility and guide students to feel the richness of Chinese excellent traditional culture. In junior high school, we should pay attention to enhancing understanding, improving the recognition of Chinese excellent traditional culture, and guiding students to understand the cultural traditions and basic national conditions of China's unified multi-ethnic country. In senior high school, we should pay attention to strengthening rational understanding, guiding students to understand spiritual connotation and enhancing their confidence in Chinese excellent traditional culture. In the university stage, efforts should be made to improve the ability of independent learning and inquiry, cultivate the consciousness of cultural innovation, and enhance the sense of responsibility and mission of inheriting and carrying forward Chinese excellent traditional culture.

At the same time, we should strive to achieve three "full coverage" in the teaching focus and tasks of each period: first, the subject courses should be fully covered, and the main courses such as moral education, Chinese, history, physical education and art should reflect the educational content; Second, the teaching links are fully covered, including classroom teaching, extracurricular teaching, family education and social education. Third, the education population is fully covered, from primary school to university, and the excellent traditional Chinese culture education runs through it as a whole.

The relevant person in charge of the Ministry of Education pointed out that the current situation of excellent traditional culture education in China is still unsatisfactory. In the specific teaching practice, some schools are oriented to exam-oriented education, emphasizing the instillation of knowledge points to students, simply letting students remember certain traditional cultural knowledge, and relatively lacking in-depth excavation and preaching of national spirit, moral sentiment and humanistic self-restraint contained in traditional culture. This is one of the core issues at present.
