Introduction of Qingming Festival Food
The food of Qingming Festival includes: green dumplings, deep-fried noodle cakes, eggs, steamed buns and pancakes.
1. Green dumplings
The green dumplings are the most representative food of Qingming Festival, which are green and oily, glutinous and soft, not sweet and not greasy, with a light but long grass aroma, and even more fragrant and smooth in the mouth. The custom, which dates back more than 2,000 years, is to prepare a lot of pastries in advance to satisfy the hunger because fire is not allowed on the Cold Food Festival.
2, deep-fried noodle cakes
The deep-fried noodle cakes are a traditional custom of Qingming Festival. Deep-fried noodle cake is a kind of deep-fried noodle food, which is made of rice flour rolled into thin strips and deep-fried. They are in different shapes, either twisted or gridded, with bright yellow color and crispy taste, and the more they are chewed, the more they smell.
Beginning with the fire ban during the Cold Food Festival, many places at that time would prepare sprinkles so that they would have something to eat during the fire ban. The cost of sprinkles is relatively low, and they are easy to store, with a crunchy texture that is popular among the common people, and so they have been passed down to the present day.
3, eggs
To the time of the Qingming Festival, the family's old life will prepare some eggs, with a very auspicious symbolism, in the Qingming Festival to eat eggs, meaning that the new year can be healthy. Qingming eat eggs, known as eating "festival eggs", festival eggs are divided into two kinds, one is "painting eggs", the other is "carving eggs".

4, Zi push bun

5, pancakes
Xiamen folk proverb "Qingming to eat pancakes", meaning that the Qingming Festival family after sweeping the tomb to get together to wrap pancakes to eat. Today, most places in southern Fujian still retain this custom. At least a dozen ingredients are needed to make the "pancake dish", and most of them are seasonal vegetables. The pancakes are also eaten as they are wrapped.
