Why is there a custom of serving wine?
Whenever the Lantern Festival comes on the tenth day of the first month, there will be three wonders in Cenxi City. The first miracle is that the streets are covered with lanterns, which anyone can buy. Most people have to buy two lamps, one hanging in the hall and the other hanging in their own temple in the country. Each lamp should be wrapped with two pebbles, indicating that there are successors who can carry on the family line. The second miracle is that all the hotels in the city are full. Some booked wine tables a month ago, ranging from a dozen tables to hundreds. Some hotels have four rounds, with tables at 9: 00 am, 12: 00 pm, 3: 00 pm and 6: 00 pm. The third miracle is that all citizens have wedding drinks. Everyone has three aunts, six grandmothers, seven uncles and eight uncles, which have been added to the table and put on lights. Congratulations, red envelopes and a wedding banquet. City people go to restaurants, while rural people go from village to village. Some people say that this is the "drinking day" for all the people in Cenxi.
