Famous photographer Zhuoya gifted Shen Congwen's Xiangxi to be shown to readers with a keen and delicate lens. Xiangxi in the text and Xiangxi in the photographs reflect each other and mirror each other.
8. Where is Xiangxi Tujia
Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture: belonging to Hunan Province, it is the only minority autonomous prefecture in Hunan Province. Xiangxi Prefecture is located in the northwest of Hunan Province, with a long history and splendid culture. Within its jurisdiction, there are the first batch of national historical and cultural cities such as Fenghuang County, Lier Ancient City, Miaojiang Great Wall, Furong Town, Laosi City, Ludong Mountain, Mangdong River, etc., which is one of the birthplaces of Wuling culture.
9. Xiangxi Tujia Tourist Attractions
Jishou is the capital of Xiangxi Autonomous Prefecture, located in the western part of Hunan Province, at the eastern foot of the Wuling Mountains, adjacent to the three provinces of Hubei, Chongqing and Guizhou, and is the capital of Xiangxi Tujia Autonomous Prefecture, which is known as the Pearl of Wuling. It has 18 towns and street offices under its jurisdiction, with a total area of 1,062 square kilometers and a population of 290,000 people. Jishou is also a famous town with a long history and rich humanities. It has belonged to Qianzhong County since Qin Dynasty, and there was Ganzhou Hall in Qing Dynasty. At the beginning of the Republic of China, Gancheng County was changed to Gancheng County. in 1953, it was renamed Jishou County. in 1982, it took more than 2,000 years for the county to be founded as a city. Phoenix Ancient City belongs to Jishou, about 40 minutes drive from Jishou. Tomorrow, we will visit Phoenix Ancient City to experience its charm and culture. Originally called Dry City, Jishou City is now ready to restore the culture and architecture of the ancient Dry City. Due to geographical constraints, Jishou City forms a narrow strip between two mountains with one main road in the city. Although the city is not big, traffic congestion is common. The streets are dirty and traffic accidents are frequent. Jishou City is built mainly along the Dong River. The Dong River is also the mother river of Jishou, but due to insufficient urban planning and remodeling, neither the old nor the new city can present its historical and cultural atmosphere. Good thing there is a 50-year-old Jishou University here. This afternoon, I made a special trip to Jishou University and the Huang Yongyu Museum inside. I have a good impression of Jishou University.
10.Charming Xiangxi Tujia
There are a few things to keep in mind when driving to Phoenix Ancient Town. This strategy should be done well. Fenghuang Ancient Town is located in the southwestern part of Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture in Hunan Province. According to the usual time, it is better to arrange 2-3 days of sightseeing here, because the upper, middle and lower reaches of Tuojiang River are for sightseeing.
1. Accommodation is booked in advance. There are many hotels and inns in and around the ancient city of Phoenix, but the conditions of this place are limited, so don't don't expect too much. It is very good to choose a clean and quiet place.
2. Bring your own meals or snacks. I don't I don't know if I am. I was not lucky enough. I chose a few places to eat in the old city and the taste was really average. Some of the snacks I bought can be really hard to eat. So, bring your own may be more, but there must be nothing wrong with it.
3. Parking in advance. The size of Phoenix Street is free parking, which is a good indication that parking is really hard to find here. We were lucky enough to take our chances, but ended up turning around and parking outside.
4. The cost of parking is flat. Parking here is basically a flat rate of 20, 30, 40, with different rates depending on the time of parking. So, park where there is a parking space. Even if there is a difference in price, win not too bad.
5. Performance. Phoenix ancient city by boat can see some performances, but I have also heard that sometimes there is no performance. The tickets are 98/person and it takes about 30 minutes. If you go there, you you better ask in advance.
6. Phoenix ancient city on both sides of the store water bar a lot, a wide range, but basically are clearly marked consumption. Probably because there is too much competition. If you have enough time, you can choose to go to leisure. But I still suggest it is better to ask if there is any extra consumption.
