The Development Course of Nanjing Folk Museum

Ganfu, also known as "the former residence of Ganxi", commonly known as "ninety-nine and a half rooms" and "Ganjia Courtyard", is an ancient residence with many entrances and halls. It is the former residence of Gan, a famous scholar and local chronicler in Qing Dynasty. Built in Jiaqing period of Qing Dynasty, it has a history of 200 years and covers an area of nearly 10,000 square meters. It is a large-scale and well-preserved residential complex in the Qing Dynasty in large and medium-sized cities in China.

1982, Nanjing cultural relics department found this ancient architectural complex in the cultural relics survey of the whole city, and designated it as a municipal cultural protection unit.
